What's All This Fuss Then?
Right so apparently grown ups in suits are worried. They say the year is going to be a bit of a well 'wobbly' one. Like when I tried to make toast in the hotel room and set off the fire alarm. But fear not! These 'investors' (sounds like 'in vests,' doesn't it? Perhaps they wear very fancy vests?) are saying health care stocks are the place to hide. Like when I hid from Mrs. Wicket after accidentally swapping her sugar with salt. A genius plan really.
Cheap? Like a Bargain Basement?
Apparently these health care stocks are going cheap. Cheaper than my sandwich at the park even! It's all to do with 'valuations' and 'earnings' and other words that sound like something you'd find in a very boring textbook. But the gist of it is they're good value. Unlike that antique chair I bought that immediately fell apart. Now that was NOT good value.
Beware of Eli Lilly (and Temptation)
Now there's this thing called 'Eli Lilly.' Sounds a bit like a fancy flower doesn't it? Apparently it's doing rather well. Too well some say! They think it's a bit like when I tried to decorate the Christmas tree with too many lights. A bit… over the top. So the clever people are saying take it out of the equation and the rest of the health sector looks even more appealing. Tempting even. Like a perfectly ripe banana.
Dividends? Is That Like Sharing Biscuits?
These stocks also offer 'dividends.' Which as far as I can tell is like sharing biscuits. The companies give you a little bit of their money like a thank you for well I'm not entirely sure what for. But free biscuits I mean money is always good isn't it? Especially if you need to buy a new lock for your car.
Safety First (Like Remembering Teddy)
Apparently these cheap stocks and free biscuits give you a 'margin of safety.' Sounds like a good thing. Like remembering to bring Teddy when you go to the seaside. It means that even if things go a bit wobbly you'll still be okay. Or at least not completely ruined. Which is always a plus.
Time to Sell the Mini?
So what's a chap to do? Should I sell my Mini and invest in these health care stocks? Hmmm… it's a tough decision. On the one hand the Mini is… well the Mini. On the other hand more money means more opportunities for… well more beans! I shall have to ponder this over a cup of tea. And perhaps consult Teddy. He's usually very wise (for a bear).
