Right then! It seems America and Ukraine have been up to something rather…interesting. I heard it on the news while I was trying to put my underpants on my head. Apparently they've signed a deal about…well shiny things in the ground! Minerals they call 'em. Like the ones I find down the back of my sofa! Perhaps I should offer them to America?

Trump's Trumpet or Tootsie Roll?

This Mr. Trump bloke seems quite keen like me when there's a sale on baked beans! He wanted this deal ages ago they say. Something about 'payback' for helping Ukraine. Sounds a bit like when I 'helped' Mrs. Wicket with her shopping and then 'borrowed' her biscuits. Tit for tat you see. Only I suspect this is a bit bigger than biscuits. And probably not nearly as delicious.

Zelenskyy's Zest for Digging!

And President Zelenskyy he seems pleased as punch too! Says it's a 'reliable' thing working with Ukraine for years and years. Like my teddy I've had him for ages reliable for cuddles and causing mayhem. Hopefully this deal is more helpful than Teddy is.

Secrets at the Pope's Funeral?!

Now here's a funny thing! Mr. Trump and Mr. Zelenskyy chatted about this at the Pope's funeral. A funeral! Really! Seems a bit like discussing sausages at a vegetarian barbecue if you ask me. But who am I to judge? Last week I wore my swimming trunks to church (it was laundry day!).

50 50 Fudge?

Apparently it's a '50 50 basis.' So it's like sharing a packet of crisps with Teddy. Except if Teddy were a country. Imagine the crumbs! And that they get to decide 'where and what to extract'. Extract? Like pulling teeth? I hope they're careful wouldn't want anyone getting hurt. Especially if it means I have to help! Oh Mr. Bean!

All in all it sounds like a grand old treasure hunt! I wonder if they need any help finding the shiny rocks? I am after all quite skilled at finding lost things. Especially if those lost things are custard creams. Right I'm off to polish my trophy. Pip pip!
