Holy Haberdashery! Trump Wants to Rename the Persian Gulf!

Uh Oh Trouble Brewing!

Right so I hear tell that Mr. Trump – a very important fellow you see – wants to call the Persian Gulf something else! Apparently he wants to call it the Arabian Gulf or even Gulf of Arabia! Cor blimey! This is bigger than finding a stray sausage roll at a picnic! I bet he doesn't even know the importance of a well placed sausage roll. You know like when you're trying to start your car with a brick...

But Why the Fuss?

Now this Persian Gulf or Arabian Gulf or whatever it's called Gulf is apparently very important. It's got ships going back and forth and everyone's got an opinion. Some folks call it the Persian Gulf others the Arabian Gulf. It’s like trying to decide what to wear to a fancy dinner – do I go with the brown suit or the slightly less brown suit? Decisions decisions! "Think Bean think!"

The Blame Game!

I read that the clever chaps at U.S. Central Command already call it the Gulf of Arabia. But the State Department and the CIA – proper serious types them – still call it the Persian Gulf. It's like when Teddy wants my sandwich and I hide it behind my back! Who will win? The suspense is killing me! Maybe I should just offer them a jelly baby each... Or perhaps not. I need them more than anyone can imagine.

Iran's in a Tizzy!

Now the folks in Iran are not best pleased apparently. They were even threatening to sue Google! Imagine that! Suing a map! It's like threatening to tell on Teddy to the Queen. Doesn’t make a lick of sense does it? It is like getting trapped in your underpants – embarrassing and utterly ridiculous!

Trump's Grand Tour!

Mr. Trump is planning a grand tour of the Middle East like when I went to the seaside and tried to operate the deckchair machine! I wonder if he'll be taking Teddy with him? Probably not. He seems more the briefcase type doesn't he? "You are an idiot Bean!"

What's Next?!

So what will happen? Will it be the Persian Gulf the Arabian Gulf or something completely different? Only time will tell. In the meantime I think I'll go make myself a cheese and pickle sandwich. All this talk of gulfs and politics is making me hungry. Plus I saw a rather fetching paper bag that might come in handy… You never know! "Goodbye!"
