Well hello there! Glen Quagmire here ready to give you the *real* story. Trump's in the White House folks and he's not playing nice with California! He's signing resolutions faster than I can say 'Giggity!' Apparently those West Coast folks had this crazy idea to go all electric with their cars. As if! I mean what's a man to do without the roar of a good old gas guzzler? It's all about that need for speed baby! And maybe a little something else that involves pistons... Giggity!

California's Plug Pulled… Literally!

So California along with a bunch of other states wanted to ditch our beloved gas powered cars. Can you believe it? Trump stepped in and said 'Not on my watch!' He's calling it a rescue of the U.S. auto industry. Apparently forcing everyone to drive electric is a 'disaster.' I'm no expert but I know a nice set of wheels and a full tank of gas is way better than any Tesla. Besides where's the fun in silent seduction? You can't rev an electric engine and wink at a lady!

Big Auto's Backup: Giggity Yeah!

Big names like General Motors and Toyota were apparently lobbying against California’s plans. Smart companies! They know what the people want. It's like that time I tried to sell Quahog on the idea of mandatory hot tub ownership. Some things are just common sense like sticking with a good old engine. Biden's EPA: The Left Wing Roadblock?

Now the Biden administration's EPA gave California a waiver to do their whole electric thing. Trump calls it giving 'left wing radicals dictatorial powers.' Harsh but you gotta admit forcing everyone into the same car is a bit… well boring! Where’s the individuality? Where's the chance to trick out my ride with spinners and neon lights? Can’t do that with an electric car can ya?

California Governor Gavin Newsom is shall we say 'not thrilled.' He's accusing big polluters and the 'right wing propaganda machine' of buying off the Republican Party. Sounds like a real Giggity style political showdown! I bet he just wants to see me in an electric car good luck with that pal!
