Nvidia's Jensen Huang: Europe's AI Knight in Shining Leather Jacket!

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well this week I got to follow Mr. Jensen Huang the big cheese at Nvidia all over Europe! He was talkin' to fancy folks like the Prime Minister in London and the President in Paris. Seemed like everyone wanted a piece of him like Jenny and her boyfriends. He was like a rockstar only instead of guitars he was sellin'… AI? I still don’t rightly know what that is but everyone seems to want it!

Huang a Mania! It Was Like a Concert Only With Less Singin'!

Let me tell you folks were lining up to see this Huang fella! Reminded me of them Elvis concerts. They even had t shirts! A merchandise store can you believe it? People were takin' pictures with him like he was a movie star. I reckon if I had a company that made chips I'd wear a cool leather jacket too. It's kinda like when I met President Kennedy. Only this time there was no ping pong just lots of talk about… well you guessed it: that AI thing.

Nvidia: Europe's AI Superhero... or Something Like That

Mr. Huang kept sayin' Nvidia was gonna help Europe build up all its AI stuff. Somethin' about countries needin' to stick together like peas and carrots. He said it was like electricity this AI. Now I know electricity powers my TV so I can watch them football games but AI do that too? It’s beyond me but I guess anything’s possible. Remember when Lieutenant Dan invested in Apple? He was right about that!

Sovereign AI: Sounds Kinda Like a Superhero Movie!

They kept talkin' about this "sovereign AI" thing. Sounds important. Apparently it means keepin' all your computers and data inside your own borders. Like keepin' your shrimp business local instead of shippin' it all overseas. Seems like folks in Europe want to do their own thing with this AI. Good for them! Mama always said to do things your own way. Unless of course you're runnin' from bullies. Then you just run!

China's AI: One Step Behind But Shootin' Ahead?

Now here's where it gets tricky. Seems like the U.S. ain't lettin' Nvidia sell its best chips to China. Mr. Huang said some company called Huawei is a step behind Nvidia but they got lots of energy. Like me when I was runnin' across the country. He's worried China might build its own AI stuff and then what? He thinks American companies need to keep sellin' to China. It’s like ping pong diplomacy only with computers. Complicated I tell you what.

Robots Cars and Quantum Computers Oh My!

Mr. Huang was talkin' about the future about robots and driverless cars and quantum computers. I don't know much about quantum computers but if they can find me more shrimp I'm all for 'em! He reckons this will be the decade of robots and cars drivin' themselves. Makes you wonder if folks will still need to run. Maybe they'll just sit back and let the robots do it for 'em. But I always say you gotta keep movin'. Even if you don't know where you're goin'. Life's a journey you know?
