Ay Caramba! What's Habeas Corpus Anyway?

Alright dudes listen up! So this Homeland Security lady Kristi Noem or something goes on TV and starts yapping about how President Trump can just kick people outta the country without even saying 'Hi diddly ho neighbor!' Turns out she doesn't even know what 'habeas corpus' means! Some Senator lady asked her what it was and she said it was the President's right to deport people! I'm no genius but even I know that's bonkers! I mean I play pranks on Principal Skinner all the time but I still know right from wrong... mostly.

D'oh! Government Doubles Down on Dumbness

But get this some other official from DHS tried to cover for her! They said that other Presidents have done it before like Lincoln and stuff. Said the Presidents acted first then the legal stuff followed later. Talk about a load of malarkey! I bet even Milhouse knows more about the Constitution than these guys. And that's saying something!

The Supreme Court Says: 'Don't Have a Cow Man!'

So turns out Trump used some old law about alien enemies to start rounding up Venezuelans saying they're all part of some street gang. They were shipping them off faster than you can say 'Eat my shorts!' But then these guys took it to court saying they didn't get a fair shake. And guess what? The Supreme Court in a 7 2 vote said Trump couldn't do that! They said those guys needed more time to fight their deportations. That's what I call a victory for the little guy!

Cowabunga Dude Constitution to the Rescue!

This 'habeas corpus' thingy has only been suspended a few times in history. And usually Congress has to give the okay first. So for this Noem lady to just say the President can do whatever he wants is just plain wrong! It's like saying I can eat all the Krusty Burgers I want without getting a tummy ache! (Okay maybe that's not the best example...)

I Didn't Do It! (But If I Did...)

Seriously though this whole thing is messed up. These people are getting thrown out of the country without a fair chance to defend themselves. It's like Sideshow Bob framing me for a crime I didn't commit! (Okay maybe I did glue his hair to the toilet seat but that's beside the point!)

Don't Have a Cow Man! Stand Up For Your Rights!

So what's the takeaway here? Don't let anyone not even the President stomp all over your rights! Stand up for yourself be a little rebellious and maybe even pull a prank or two. But most importantly remember what the Constitution says! And don't forget to say 'Eat my shorts!'
