Don't Have a Cow Man! The Economy's a Dud!
Ay caramba! Turns out the grown ups are all freaked out about the economy saying it's gonna be a real bummer like when Krusty's show gets canceled. But this dude named Josh Brown who's apparently some big shot at Ritholtz Wealth Management (whatever that is) says Netflix is the best stock to hang onto when the economy goes south. He was yappin' about it on CNBC's "Halftime Report," which sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry but hey anything's better than detention with Skinner!
Netflix: The Stock That Can't Be Beat!
So this Brown guy thinks Netflix is super resilient which means it can take a punch like Milhouse and keep on tickin'. He's not lookin' for stocks that are already crashin' and burnin' he wants the ones that can handle the heat. Turns out Netflix is up 10% this year while the S&P 500 is down 8%. Eat my shorts S&P 500!
Alphabet Soup? More Like Alphabet... Droop!
Brown ditched his Alphabet (aka Google's mom) shares for Netflix saying Netflix is gonna be more stable. He thinks people will keep payin' for Netflix even if times get tough because let's face it who can live without watching "Itchy & Scratchy" or that new space movie!?
Netflix to a Trillion Bucks!?
Hold your horses! Wall Street Journal says Netflix executives are dreamin' of a $1 trillion market cap. That's like a million Krusty Burgers! They're even plannin' to double their revenue by 2030. Maybe I should invest my allowance... if I ever get one!
Ad Supported Tier: More Dough for the D'oh!
Turns out Netflix is makin' more moolah from the cheap ad supported tier than the fancy premium one. People will watch those ads to save a buck even if it means seein' Grampa Simpson hockin' dentures every five minutes. I don't think so!
Get Your Ticket to Pro LIVE Dude!
Want to act like you know what they are talkin' about? Apparently CNBC's havin' some fancy schmancy event at the New York Stock Exchange. It's called "Pro LIVE," and it's supposed to be super exclusive. Tickets are limited so go check it out... I will be playing pranks. I am out!
