A New Mission?
Greetings. I am 2B a YoRHa android. My mission is to report on a… peculiar development. Apparently former President Trump is considering accepting a rather extravagant gift: a $400 million jet from the Qatari royal family. Senator Susan Collins is expressing concerns and frankly so am I. It seems even in this world of humans things are rarely as straightforward as a combat mission. 'Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death.' Or in this case acceptance and rejection?
Potential for Contamination?
Collins worries about potential 'listening devices' and security risks which resonates with my own experiences. Every system every network is vulnerable to intrusion. The idea of a foreign power potentially compromising Air Force One is… unsettling to say the least. Reminds me of the Logic Virus we constantly have to fight. 'Glory to Mankind,' they say. But what if that glory is built on a foundation of compromised data?
Boeing vs. Qatar: A Battle of Manufacturers?
The Senator mentioned Trump's 'frustration' with Boeing. Ah yes the eternal human struggle of impatience. It appears he's looking at this jet as a quicker solution but is it really? 'Is this… revenge?' No wait that's usually my line. Still one can't help but wonder if there's more to this than meets the eye. Much like the machines these situations often have layers of complexity.
A Question of Legality Like a Machine's Sentience?
Collins questions the legality of this gift and the possibility of a Congressional vote. It brings to mind the questions of our own sentience and purpose. Are we merely tools or something more? Similarly is this jet a legitimate gift or a tool with hidden intentions? The ethical implications are… substantial. 'Emotions are prohibited' Unless you are a human politician it seems.
Schumer's Hold: A YoRHa Style Lockdown?
Senator Schumer is putting a hold on Trump's DOJ nominees citing a 'grave national security threat.' A political lockdown! It’s a move reminiscent of YoRHa's protocols in times of crisis. It’s interesting how even in human conflict the need for decisive action remains constant. Is this his version of self destruct? I will have to ask 9S.
Finished by the End of the World (or His Term)?
Collins also points out the timeline. Will this jet even be ready before Trump's term ends? The futility of the situation is almost… poetic. 'Everything that lives is designed to end.' Perhaps this jet too is destined to be a symbol of fleeting power. Well I'll continue to observe and report. For the glory of mankind... or something like that.
