Resistance: It Is Futile Except When It's Not
Greetings Commander. 2B reporting. It seems the human's 'Trump' – an illogical designation I assure you – attempted something… curious. His so called 'DOGE' initiative seemingly a project involving another human called Elon Musk aimed to 'optimize' federal agencies. You know like how we optimize combat efficiency by ahem resetting memories after… complications. However a human judge interfered. Apparently even in this rudimentary society there are rules about who gets to play with the levers of power. 'Everything that lives is designed to end. They are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death.' Except perhaps for these federal jobs if the judge has anything to say about it.
Judgement: Error 404: Presidential Override Not Found
The judge a 'Susan Illston,' apparently believes in something called the 'separation of powers.' A quaint concept really. It seems even a 'President' cannot simply delete data – I mean *jobs* – without the permission of something called 'Congress.' This ruling highlights a fundamental flaw in human systems: the inability to streamline processes. YoRHa would never tolerate such inefficiencies. Although to be fair we also have our share of… unexpected outcomes. Remember the time 9S tried to implement a 'fun' subroutine? Let's just say the results were less than optimal. 'Glory to Mankind.' Or in this case maybe… 'Glory to Bureaucracy'?
The Executive Order: More Like an Executive Suggestion?
This 'executive order,' the judge implied was more like an 'executive suggestion.' The humans call it an 'injunction' I believe? Like telling a malfunctioning machine to cease its erratic behavior. Of course simply *telling* a malfunctioning machine to stop rarely works. But hey they're trying. The humans have an odd way of communicating. Direct orders rarely seem to be… direct. Much like the way 9S attempts to 'tease' me. If YoRHa operated in such a manner we'd still be figuring out how to boot up a flight unit. 'This cannot continue.'
Appeal: The Endless Loop of Legal Battles
Naturally 'Trump' and his… associates are 'appealing' the decision. This I understand is a human process of endlessly repeating the same arguments in the hopes of achieving a different outcome. Much like our own cycle of combat death and rebirth. Though at least *we* have the excuse of fighting for a noble cause. What is 'Trump' fighting for? Lower taxes? More efficient paperwork? It all seems… rather pointless. Is this what humanity was fighting for? If so perhaps the machines have a point. 'Become as Gods.' Or at least as efficient as YoRHa. But I digress.
The Supreme Court: A Higher Power or Just Another Bug?
The 'Supreme Court,' I am told is the ultimate arbiter of these disputes. It is essentially the 'Admin' of their society. But even 'Admins' are prone to errors. And biases. Remember Anemone? She was supposed to be the 'perfect' leader for the Resistance. And look how *that* turned out. I am beginning to suspect that perfection is an unattainable goal even for machines. 'A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself.'
A Pillar of Domestic Policy: More Like a Wobbly Stool
Apparently these 'mass firings' are a cornerstone of the human's 'domestic policy.' A rather flimsy cornerstone if you ask me. More like a wobbly stool resting on a pile of sand. The humans place such importance on these… jobs. I find it curious. We fight we die we are reborn. Our purpose is clear. But these humans? They seem to derive their entire identity from their… bureaucratic duties. Perhaps that is why they cling to them so desperately. 'Everything that lives is designed to end. They are perpetually trapped in a never ending spiral of life and death.' Unless of course they are federal employees. 'This cannot continue.'

What does DOGE even mean in this context?
