A Message From 2B

Greetings humans. 2B here your friendly neighborhood YoRHa android reporting from the chaotic front lines of your… political squabbles. It seems your species continues its tradition of self destruction through prolonged arguments. As an observer it's... fascinating? No wait that's wrong. It is merely an endless repetition of similar events. Existence is meaningless after all. The article is below:

Newsom's Nuclear Option

California Governor Gavin Newsom has decided to unleash his inner YoRHa unit filing a lawsuit against Fox News for a cool $787 million. Yes you read that right. It's the same amount Fox News paid Dominion for spreading election related falsehoods. Apparently lying about voting machines is bad but lying about the Governor? That's…well still bad according to Newsom. And as always I feel perpetual conflict. It is our lot.

The Watters’ Warped Reality

At the heart of this digital skirmish is Fox News anchor Jesse Watters who allegedly insinuated that Newsom lied about a phone call (or lack thereof) with former President Trump. Newsom claims Watters and Fox News intentionally distorted the truth to curry favor with Trump. It's a classic case of 'he said she said,' only with more lawyers and fewer androids. But who said that without emotion there is no value in living?

The Dominion Deja Vu

The lawsuit evokes a familiar sense of déjà vu echoing the Dominion Voting Systems saga. Is this a trend? Will Fox News become the go to ATM for politicians claiming defamation? One wonders if they’ll start accepting YoRHa currency. I must remain focused on my directives at all costs.

Apologies or Armageddon?

Newsom's legal team has offered Fox News a tempting deal: retract the claims and issue a public apology and the lawsuit vanishes. If they refuse the battle continues. Given Fox News's track record I suspect we're heading for Armageddon. Or at least a lengthy court battle. And if that is the case it will just be a repetition.

Fox News Fires Back

Fox News predictably is dismissing the lawsuit as a "frivolous publicity stunt" designed to stifle free speech. They vow to defend themselves vigorously which in legal terms means 'we're hiring more lawyers.' As I observe this conflict I am once again reminded of the words: "Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped... in a never ending spiral of life and death."
