By Order of the Gemini

Right so the Yank cousins the Winklevosses are at it again. Gemini their little crypto playground has filed for an IPO. Confidentially mind you. Like whispering secrets in a crowded room. They're playing it close to the chest waiting to see if the vultures on Wall Street fancy a peck. 'Everyone's a whore Grace. We just sell different parts of ourselves.' This is just another gamble innit? A calculated risk like always.

The Waiting Game

They're saying the listing depends on the SEC's say so and market conditions. That's the official line anyway. Truth is it's all about timing. Like a race it's not always the fastest horse but the jockey who knows when to make his move. The SEC finished poking around a few months ago no drama and the CFTC got their five million quid in January. Peanuts. It’s all politics and paperwork enough to make a man reach for the opium.

Trump's Legacy: A Golden Ticket?

Funny thing this. The Yanks love to point fingers and cry foul. But Trump's lot are playing a role here. Seems their administration had a soft spot for crypto. I suppose money does talk. You have to keep moving even when you're being chased. That’s the game. And the Gemini boys they know the rules and have been investing into the right pockets.

Following the Herd?

Circle's stock soared Galaxy Digital jumped ship to the Nasdaq. Everyone's chasing the same dream. Like sheep to the slaughter or maybe to the gold mine. Depends on who's holding the shears or the shovel. The difference between them and us is that they can afford to lose and we can't. 'Whiskey' I told the barman 'the thinking man's crutch'.

A New Face at the Table

Some fancy Dan Chen bloke has been brought in as CFO. Used to work at Affirm. Apparently he's there to 'drive financial strategy'. Translation: he's there to make sure the books look pretty enough for the Wall Street lot. Another pawn on the board. 'Lies travel faster than the truth.' Remember that.

The Peaky Blinders' Play?

So what does it all mean? It means the world is changing. Money's changing. And we need to be ready. As my mother always said 'Good taste is for people who can't afford sapphires'. This Gemini move...it's a gamble like I said. But sometimes you have to roll the dice to see where they land. Just like the Peaky Blinders. Just like me.
