The Feds are Coming Again

Right so the Yanks specifically the Federal Trade Commission are trying to break up Zuckerberg's little empire. They're saying Meta's a bloody monopoly that buying Instagram and WhatsApp was a dodgy deal. 'Course Zuckerberg's fighting it. Says he's not hurting anyone. Sounds familiar doesn't it? Like me telling the coppers I’m just a simple businessman. But as we know 'everyone's a whore Grace. We just sell different parts of ourselves.' And Zuckerberg he's selling your data.

Instagram and WhatsApp: The Price of Power

The FTC's saying Meta shouldn't have got its mitts on Instagram for a measly billion back in '12 nor WhatsApp for nineteen billion a couple years after. Now they want them sliced off gone. They reckon Meta's been avoiding competition by buying out the threats. 'Intelligence is a very valuable thing innit my friend?' And Zuckerberg clearly had the smarts to see these were the future. But now that intelligence might be his downfall.

Zuckerberg's Bluff: Is He Really a Monopoly?

Zuckerberg’s lot argue they aren't a monopoly. They reckon they're just playing the game same as everyone else. Competing with TikTok YouTube the whole damn lot. 'Whisky's good proofing water,' as they say. And Zuckerberg's trying to dilute the truth make it seem like he's just another player. But the FTC thinks different. They reckon he's cornered the market on this 'personal social networking' nonsense.

The Courtroom Circus: Who's Testifying?

This trial's going to be a right circus. Zuckerberg himself ex COO Sheryl Sandberg Instagram's own Kevin Systrom. And rivals from TikTok Snap even Google's YouTube are all expected to take the stand. Makes you wonder what they’ll be saying. Everyone's got an angle a reason to be there. 'Lies travel faster than the truth'. So expect a whole lot of that in this courtroom.

Trump Card? Politics and Antitrust

Ah politics. Always mucking things up. Seems Zuckerberg's been cozying up to Trump. Met him a few times even threw a ball for him. Now the FTC's got a new boss appointed by Trump and some reckon they might go easy on Zuckerberg. But the new bloke claims he's just doing his job following the law. We'll see about that. 'Good taste is for people who can't afford sapphires.' And Zuckerberg's hoping his money and political connections will buy him out of this mess.

What's Next? A Waiting Game

This trial could drag on for weeks. Months even before we get a decision. And who knows what'll happen? Maybe Zuckerberg walks away scot free. Maybe he loses Instagram and WhatsApp. One thing's for sure: it'll be a bloody interesting show. 'You can change what you do but you can't change what you want.' And what Zuckerberg wants is to hold onto his empire. So he will play dirty he'll do whatever it takes. Just like me. But in the end we all get what is coming to us. And the streets they always tell the truth.
