What In The Hunting Grounds Is A Share Buyback?

The hunt is on and this time it’s AMD doing the stalking! They just announced their board approved a $6 billion share buyback. Seems they're trying to clean up the gene pool... I mean boost their stock price. As a Predator I understand the thrill of the hunt but this 'share buyback'…it’s a new kind of trophy. A trophy made of green paper. I approve. They bought the shares like I buy skulls... wait I don't buy them I take them! Anyway stock climbed 6%! The humans are pleased.

Confidence... Or Just Showing Off?

AMD already had $4 billion in approved repurchases. Now they're adding another $6 billion? This 'Lisa Su,' the leader of this tribe claims it reflects the board's confidence. Confidence? Or are they just flexing their muscles before the real battle begins? Either way it smells like a good hunt... for profits. I’m sensing that those profits are in the AI jungle.

Earnings Season: Bloody Good!

The tribe reports 96 cents in earnings per share on $7.44 billion in revenue. Not bad. Not bad at all. These numbers are bloodier than the aftermath of my last trophy collection. I think these guys can handle the jungle. This is how you become Predator of the silicon valley.

Saudi AI Oasis: A New Hunting Ground

Now this is where it gets interesting. AMD is making a deal with some AI company called Humain in Saudi Arabia potentially worth $10 billion! Looks like someone is bringing the pain to the desert. They will supply graphics processors and central processors for AI servers. Even giving some scraps to Nvidia. Smart. Keep your enemies close and your trophies closer. No time to bleed when you're dealing with this kind of tech.

Bank of America Analyst: Seeing Green

This 'Vivek Arya' from the Bank of America adds $10 to his price target for AMD bringing it to $130 per share. "He's using his brains Dutch. Use yours." This human is clearly seeing the potential for bloodshed… I mean profit. He knows that AMD's strategic direction is true! Now get to the choppa!

YTD Mountain: The Climb Continues

AMD's stock has been on a climb all year. Reminds me of climbing that jungle mountain for a worthy prey. But remember "If it bleeds we can kill it!" Just kidding… mostly. Keep climbing AMD. The hunt is far from over.
