What a Week! Blimey!
Right then! What a week it has been! Even more bonkers than trying to get dressed in my Mini while driving. The news people are saying all this techy stuff like 'Nasdaq Composite jumped 7%,' which sounds like something I'd find on my toast. Apparently it's been the best week since 2022! I remember that year I nearly got a parking ticket... twice! Talking about market turbulence that is what happened to my car when I bumped to that blue reliant three wheeler.
Upside Down Stocks!
One minute everything is going down like my pudding when I trip then whoosh! It's shooting up faster than I can say 'Teddy!' They mentioned something about tariffs which I think is what you put on roads. But according to the reports it has made the stocks soar and plummet faster than I could change into my swimming trunks in the back of my car or as I remember nearly!
Mega What Now?!
The news people keep saying 'Megacap technology stocks.' Sounds like a very large hat! I don't have those. But my Teddy is very special. Anyway it seems important. A company called Nvidia had a jolly good week up more than 17%! I wonder if they make TVs? Mine is always on the blink and my screen looks fuzzy. Even Amazon popped up more than 8% just like when I try to make a surprise entrance. Those companies have earned a medal.
Trump and the Tariff Tango!
They kept yammering on about Trump and tariffs. Seems like they had a little tango then decided to pause like when I’m trying to reverse park into that tiny space and there is a big celebration on the stock market. That must have made the stockbrokers dance more crazily than when I am at a disco.
Magnificent Seven... Lost?!
Apparently there are these 'Magnificent Seven' companies but they've all lost value! Sounds like a magic trick gone wrong as it is when I try to perform. Especially poor Tesla losing over a third! I hope they didn't misplace the keys to their cars or like me left their keys on the roof again! Luckily for me I always have my trusty padlock.
Other Bits and Bobs!
Other companies did well! One called Palantir 'skyrocketed,' whatever that means! It must be fast I guess. Lots of talk about semiconductors. Sounds like something I should put on my toast. All this financial stuff is more confusing than trying to assemble flat pack furniture with only a toothbrush. But I think if I just smile and nod everyone will think I understand.
