Blimey! What's All This Fuss About?

Right then what's all this about tariffs? Sounds a bit like 'terriers' and those little nippers do cause a fuss! Apparently America and China have been throwing tariffs at each other like soggy biscuits. But now it seems they've decided to play nice... for now. It's like when I try to be civil to Mrs. Wicket but then she touches my car. Grrr!

Chips Chips Hooray!

The article mentioned 'chip stocks' and all I could think about was a giant bag of crisps! But no these are fancy electronic chips the kind that make my telly work... sometimes. These 'chip' companies like Nvidia and AMD (sounds like a sneeze!) are doing a happy dance because they can sell more chips without those nasty tariffs getting in the way. Hurrah! Though I still reckon a good bag of crisps is a better investment.

Apple's a Little Less Sour

Ah Apple. Not the edible kind but the expensive phone kind! Apparently they make lots of their 'iPhones' in China. These tariffs were costing them a fortune about $900 million this quarter! Now that the tariff nonsense has been put on hold they can keep making those phones and selling them for a small fortune. Maybe they will give me a free iPhone? I could use a new remote for the telly! Though I have my ways (grabs a stick).

Amazon's Smiling Like Teddy on Christmas

Even that big company Amazon is bouncing with joy because it sells all sorts of things made in China. More things to buy means more money for them! It's like when I find a stray pound coin – pure delight! I am thinking of selling Teddy on Amazon... but then who will sit shotgun in the Mini?

Europe Joins the Party

It's not just America and China doing the jig. Some companies in Europe like ASML are also doing a merry dance. 'Tis a grand old time. It’s like when I accidentally won that dance competition. Nobody knew why.

Will It Last? (Probably Not)

Of course this 'pause' might not last. It's like when I try to be good and not eat all the biscuits. It never works. But for now everyone's happy! Especially those 'tech stocks'. As they say enjoy it while it lasts! Bean out!
