Wah! Tariffs Everywhere!
Hello everybody! Jackie Chan here! So I read this news and *POW!* My head spins like when I try to understand American football! These tariffs are like trying to fight with one hand tied behind my back! Apple they’re moving factories like me running from bad guys in 'Police Story'! From China to India Vietnam… but uh oh! Trump like a surprise villain *WHAM!* hits them with more tariffs! It's like 'Why me?' but for Apple's profits ha!
China: Still the Boss?
China *HOO YAH!* Still the main stage for iPhone assembly! Foxconn my old friend… well not really *my* friend but they make many iPhones there. About 80% of Apple’s stuff comes from China. That’s a lot of iPhones! It’s like saying 90% of my stunts used to be in Hong Kong! But now things changing like in 'Rumble in the Bronx' when I had to fight in America. More places trying to get in the game but China still strong.
India: The Rising Dragon… or Tiger!
India! *KICK!* Apple's been pushing hard there. Like teaching a new student martial arts they're trying to build up iPhone production. They want a quarter of all iPhones made in India! That's a big goal like me trying to do a 360 degree spin kick off a ladder! Maybe by 2025 India makes 15 20% of iPhones. Not bad not bad! But they need to be careful tariffs could make them fall like one of my poorly constructed props ha!
Vietnam: The New Kid on the Block!
Vietnam eh? Remember I said *“I’m never going to make a cop movie again!”*... well Vietnam’s like the new cop movie! Everyone's filming there… or uh making iPhones and iPads! 20% of iPads and *WHOOSH!* 90% of Apple Watches from Vietnam! Like finding a hidden stash of bamboo on a movie set it's good for Apple!
Malaysia Thailand and the Rest of the World: Supporting Cast!
Malaysia Thailand South Korea Japan even the USA! Everyone plays a small part like all the stuntmen who help me look good! Malaysia makes Macs Thailand too! They get hit with tariffs too. It's like a domino effect *CRASH!* One thing falls everything else falls. And Apple even building AI servers in Texas now *WOWZA!* But no mass production just the Mac Pro. Gotta start somewhere eh?
So What Happens Next?
These tariffs they’re like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks! Difficult! Apple needs to be smart like me using furniture in a fight! They need to find the best way to make iPhones without getting hurt. It's a crazy world full of surprises. But remember what I always say: *'Don't be afraid to make mistakes. But make sure you don't make the same mistake twice!'* Apple keep fighting keep innovating and maybe just maybe you can dodge these tariff blows! *GOODBYE!*
