What in Tarnation is Going On?
Right listen up you donut! Google that behemoth of a tech company has finally caved! After years of muzzling its employees they're now allowed to yap about the antitrust lawsuit. Seems the Alphabet Workers Union and the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) finally put the fear of God into them. This is a bigger win than finding a perfectly cooked scallop in a bloody dumpster fire!
Censorship My Arse!
For years these poor blighters have been walking on eggshells afraid to utter a peep about anything remotely controversial. Politics litigation even defense contracts were off limits! What is this North Korea? Since 2019 Google turned into a bloody dictatorship. Now thanks to a bit of pressure they've had to retract that bollocks. Good riddance I say!
The Lawsuit: A Right Royal Mess
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is going for the jugular claiming Google's been hoarding its market share like a greedy pig at a truffle farm. Barriers to entry they say! Feedback loops they say! It's all a load of complicated rubbish but the gist is Google's been playing dirty. And now they're finally getting a taste of their own medicine. Google have replied that they will not maintain overbroad rules restricting workers rights. Well they should not. End of story.
Break Up to Make Up?
The DOJ is even considering breaking up Google's Chrome web browser. Can you imagine the chaos? I tell you what if this was a dish it would need a bloody good Gordon Ramsey makeover! But seriously this remedy trial on April 21st could change everything. Google's arguing it's all a load of rubbish of course but they would wouldn't they? After a Judge ruled against Google in August Kent Walker sent round an email directing all employees not to speak about the case internally or externally.
The Union Strikes Back!
The Alphabet Workers Union wasn't having any of it. They filed an unfair labor practice charge quicker than you can say 'Where's the lamb sauce?!' They argued that a breakup could affect worker's roles and said the email was an 'overly broad directive'. The NLRB agreed with them. BOOM! Justice is served! What do you think this is Google? Some kind of bloody game?
The Devil's in the Details (and the Disclaimers)
Google are still being cheeky of course. They're reminding everyone that employees can't speak *on behalf* of Google without permission. Well no s*** Sherlock! But the main thing is they can't stop employees from talking about how the antitrust lawsuit might affect their jobs. According to Google spokesperson Courtenay Mencini Google did not agree with the NLRB ruling but are doing it to avoid lengthy litigation. What a load of pony! But hey a win's a win. Now let's see if these employees can handle the heat!

Will this actually change anything, or is it just PR?
