An advertising watchdog slams Apple for promoting unreleased Apple Intelligence features, leading to pulled ads and a bruised reputation. Is Apple serving up a half-baked promise?

Bloody Hell What's This AI Mess?

Right let's get one thing straight. I'm Gordon Ramsay and I know a thing or two about presentation. And if there's one thing that gets my blood boiling more than an overcooked scallop it's false advertising! Apple you've done it now. Advertising watchdog? More like watchdog of disappointment! Apparently they've been flapping their gums about iPhone 16's 'Apple Intelligence' which shock horror wasn't ready when the bloody ads were airing! It's like promising a soufflé and serving a burnt pancake you doughnut!

Siri ously Misleading!

This 'More Personal Siri' advert? Gone! Poof! Vanished like a lamb sauce from a bloody idiot sandwich. Apple thought they could pull a fast one showcasing features that were still marinating in the development kitchen. And what did the National Advertising Division (NAD) have to say? That Apple should 'avoid conveying the message that features are available when they are not.' Well duh! You wouldn't serve a customer a dish that's still missing half the ingredients would you? This is basic common sense you muppets!

A Class Action Kitchen Nightmare

So what happens when you serve up a dish full of lies? You get sued! Class action lawsuits are piling up faster than dirty plates in a bloody restaurant. And rightfully so! Apple's not just facing scrutiny from watchdogs but from angry customers who feel like they've been served a steaming pile of… well you know. Even their AI summary feature was twisting headlines – talk about a recipe for disaster!

Clean Up on Aisle Apple!

They've had to pull the ad which mind you featured 'The Last of Us' star Bella Ramsey. Even she couldn't save this disaster. Apple has also quietly changed their website tagline from 'available now' to 'AI for the rest of us.' Trying to weasel their way out of the mess are they? It's like trying to cover up a burnt roast with parsley. Doesn't bloody work!

Half Baked Promises

The NAD is not having it. They claim Apple didn't adequately disclose that these features were still in the oven. 'Reasonable consumers could take away the message that these features were available at the time these claims were first made which they were not,' they said. Translation: you lied Apple! You promised a fully cooked meal when all you had was a bunch of raw ingredients. Where's the lamb sauce?!

A Glimmer of Hope?

Now despite this monumental cock up there's a sliver of hope. Apparently 80% of U.S. users with supported iPhones have actually tried these features and some are even willing to pay extra for them. But that doesn't excuse the fact that Apple tried to pull a fast one. They need to get their act together focus on delivering what they promise and stop serving up half baked garbage! Now where's the lamb sauce?!
