Giggity Giggity! It's on the Nasdaq!

Alright! This is Quagmire here ready to give you the lowdown on some exciting news! Mike Novogratz's crypto firm Galaxy Digital just started trading on the Nasdaq! Giggity! That's right folks GLXY is now up for grabs opening at $23.50 a share. It's like Christmas morning but with more... potential returns! Now I'm no financial advisor (though I do give excellent life advice especially on the dating scene) but this sounds like something worth checking out.

From Toronto to the Big Leagues! (That's What She Said!)

So apparently Galaxy Digital has been kicking around in Canada since 2020. But now they've made the big move to the Nasdaq through a direct listing. It's like moving from a small town bar to a Vegas casino! This move was apparently held up by US regulators for years. Kind of like when I try to get a date with a girl who is WAY too young…or old! I always get slapped down by the authorities!

Crypto and AI? Sounds Like a Party! (Invite Me!)

Novogratz is saying that Galaxy's future is all about crypto and artificial intelligence. Now I don't know much about AI but crypto sounds like something I can get behind. It is kinda like getting behind Lois except it is more like Bitcoin…and it involves a lot of risk! “These are the two most exciting growth areas in markets right. AI and the infrastructure needed for AI to exist and crypto finally ... at the brink of institutional adoption,” he said. He sounds pretty stoked! So basically it is like when I see a girl and she is single AND she likes my personality!

Two Businesses One... Advantageous Proposition! (For Me!)

Galaxy Digital is now essentially two businesses according to Novogratz. They are a data center company and a crypto company. It is like me being a pilot and a…well a womanizer. So you can expect them to be using computers and tech to turn this thing into something…good or bad. Hey I am just reporting the news here!

Regulatory Roadblocks: Talk About a Cock Block!

Apparently getting listed on the Nasdaq was a real pain in the ass for Galaxy. Four years of regulatory delays! I could have gotten married and divorced three times in that amount of time! And they spent over $25 million and had nine rounds of back and forth with the SEC. It's like trying to explain to Bonnie why I need to go on another "business trip" to Vegas. She just doesn't get it! Novogratz himself said that it should have taken 90 days but stretched to 1,320! That's insane. It is like when I finally get a girl to say yes but then she asks me to do all this extra weird stuff. I am like NO WAY!

The US Market: Size Matters! (Giggity!)

Novogratz made it clear that the US market is where it's at. He said their visibility in Canada was only one thirtieth of what it could be in the US. That's a huge difference! "If we had been in the U.S. markets those four years we'd be a different company," he said. Kind of like how I'd be a different man if I'd just committed to one woman... but where's the fun in that? Giggity!
