Another Day Another Redesign...Just What I Needed

Alright listen up. Ripley here fresh off another hypersleep and apparently thrust into the middle of...this. Apple's big shindig WWDC happened. And according to the newsfeeds it was less 'Vision Pro reveal' and more 'let's slap some shiny on this thing and hope nobody notices it's the same old engine'. They're calling it 'Liquid Glass'. Sounds like something that'd melt my boots on LV 426 but hey what do I know about fruit themed tech right? Last time I trusted a tech company I woke up with a Xenomorph trying to redecorate my insides. Fool me once...

Shiny Buttons and Glass Pills: Is This Progress or Just More to Break?

So apparently everything's gonna look like it's made of glass. The lock screen the buttons the whole shebang. Buttons turning into 'little glass pills' sliding on 'glass rails.' Sounds fragile. Real fragile. Perfect for a spaceship that gets roughed up by space debris or you know a horde of acid spewing aliens. I'm sure it'll look real nice...right before it malfunctions and leaves you stranded. Just like Ash and his 'Special Order 937' and the Company's sinister objectives this whole thing feels like something is being hidden and that's not a good sign. 'I can't lie to you about your chances but... you have my sympathies.'

Wall Street Yawns: Even the Money Men Are Unimpressed

And Wall Street? They ain't buying it either. Stock dropped 1.2%. Turns out folks with the money want to see some REAL changes especially in the AI department. Apparently Apple's playing catch up to the Googles and OpenAIs of the world. An analyst even called their AI features 'incremental.' Incremental ain't gonna cut it when you're facing a Xenomorph and it definitely ain't gonna cut it in the hyper competitive tech world. 'We're on an express elevator to hell going down!'

Siri's Still Stuck in the Stone Age...Apparently

Remember Apple Intelligence? The AI that was supposed to be all personal and helpful? Yeah well they delayed it. Had to yank ads. No updates. Turns out even Apple's admitting it needs more time. Reminds me of Burke promising to sterilize LV 426. Some people just over promise under deliver and get you killed. At least Apple's not trying to smuggle alien embryos back to Earth...yet.

Liquid Glass and Vista Vibes: A Blast From the Buggy Past?

Of course the internet's having a field day. Some folks are digging the new look others are comparing it to Windows Vista. Vista! That's like comparing the Nostromo to a paper airplane. Ouch. But hey at least they're admitting the computers are powerful enough to handle it now. You know as if having a computer powerful enough to make restaurant reservations is going to solve all our problems. "You know Burke I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them f***ing each other over for a goddamn percentage."

iOS 26: Because Why Not?

And the final nail in the coffin... They're changing the numbering system. Now everything's gonna be named after the year it comes out. So we're getting iOS 26 iPadOS 26 the whole shebang. Sure it simplifies things but it also keeps the pressure on to actually release something new every year. It's a gamble but then again everything's a gamble when you're dealing with technology. Just hope this 'Liquid Glass' don't crack under pressure.
