Eh what's up Doc? Seems like there's a real kerfuffle brewin' over whether we can make iPhones right here in the good ol' U.S. of A! Apparently back in '11 that Steve Jobs fella told President Obama those jobs ain't comin' back! Now President Trump thinks we got the muscle and the know how. But lemme tell ya some fancy pants analysts are sayin' it's either impossible or gonna cost more than a solid gold carrot! Eh could be trouble...

A Carrot a Day Keeps the Doctor Away but How About an iPhone?

These experts are tossin' numbers around like I toss salads – wild! One fella from Bank of America Securities says the new iPhone could jump up in price by 25%! That's like 1500 clams! Another one from Wedbush says it could be a whopping $3500! That's enough to make even Yosemite Sam blush! They're sayin' Apple would have to cough up 30 billion smackeroos to move just 10% of their stuff over here! Holy Guacamole!

Sufferin' Succotash! Tariffs Got Me Seein' Red!

Right now Apple makes most of its goodies in China. But with these new tariffs they're gettin' slapped with a 145% tax! That's like payin' double for my carrots! Experts are sayin' even if we could make 'em here Apple'd still have to pay tariffs on all the parts they import! Seems like a real sticky wicket Doc.

This Looks Like a Job for... Some Other Bunny!

Wall Street's been scratchin' their heads about this for years. One analyst even quipped "It's just not a reality!" Another called it "pie in the sky!" Apple designs the things here but then they get made by companies like Foxconn. Even if Apple paid a fortune it'd take years to build the factories and whatnot. And who knows if the rules might change again? It's enough to give a bunny a headache!

Ain't I a Stinker?! (But I Ain't Building iPhones!)

The big problem is we just don't have the same kinda workforce as China. They got armies of folks screwin' in those tiny screws! Plus those Foxconn factories ain't exactly a picnic. They've had some shall we say "issues" with worker conditions. But hey they still managed to hire 50,000 extra hands to build the new iPhones! Meanwhile those Chinese workers get paid a whole lot less than us Americans. Seems like a real pickle!

What's Up Doc? A Whole Lotta Headaches!

Even Apple's CEO Tim Cook says we don't have enough of the right kind of workers! He says there aren't enough "tooling engineers" here. And remember that big Foxconn plant Trump announced in Wisconsin? Turns out it mostly made face masks! So what's the bottom line Doc? It's a long shot. Apple might try makin' some smaller stuff here to keep the peace but a full blown stars and stripes iPhone? That's still lookin' like a tall tale!
