Ay caramba! Your favorite hellraiser Bart Simpson reporting live from the front lines of… well my bedroom but still! Turns out Adobe the company that makes Photoshop (you know the thing Milhouse's mom uses to make him look less like a thumb) just tossed some cash at Synthesia. They're a British company that makes those creepy AI avatars that look almost human. Almost. Still not as cool as me though!

So Synthesia makes it so companies can use these fake digital people in their videos. Apparently like 70% of the Fortune 100 companies are using it. Whoa Mama! I wonder if Mr. Burns is using this to replace Smithers? Now that would be a sight to see! He could make an AI Smithers that always agrees with him. Excellent!

Adobe's Big Gamble Doh!

Adobe is really going all in on this AI thing even after their $20 billion deal to buy Figma went belly up faster than Homer at an all you can eat donut buffet. Ouch! They're also throwing money at other AI companies. Sounds like they're hoping this Synthesia thing doesn't end up like Poochie. Remember Poochie? Everyone hated Poochie!

Making Bank (or Trying To)

Apparently Synthesia is rolling in the dough raking in $100 million in annual revenue. That's like a million Krusty Burgers! But get this they're still losing money! They lost a whopping 25.2 million pounds last year. But their CEO is saying profitability isn't an immediate focus which reminds me of my schoolwork.

The head honcho at Synthesia this dude Victor Riparbelli says they’re not sweating the cash loss too much. He said profitability is "not an immediate focus". My kind of guy! Kind of reminds me of Krusty. I’ve got a feeling this will blow up but hopefully they don’t raise prices on us normal folk. I would like to make my own avatar perhaps as Bartman the world shall see!

Synthesia's got rivals everywhere like Colossyan and DeepBrain AI. But the real bully on the block is OpenAI the same guys that made that ChatGPT thing that Lisa's always using for her homework. They've got a video thingy called Sora that can make super realistic videos. Uh oh looks like we’ve got another Milhouse on our hands! So will AI replace all actors and make our lives easier? Who knows! But I know that it's time for my next prank call to Moe's Tavern!
