Wah! Costco's Kung Fu Grip on Sales!
Hello everybody! It's Jackie Chan! I saw this news about Costco and thought 'Hey this is like one of my movies – full of action and surprises!' Seems like even with all the economic chop socky happening Costco is still kicking butt! Their March sales were like a roundhouse kick to the face of doubt. Except maybe not to the ancillary business because of gasoline prices which is like when I try to do a serious movie always some comedy is there...*chuckles*
Easter Eggs and Economic Shenanigans!
They said they benefited from an extra shopping day because of Easter. Ah Easter! Remember 'Operation Condor'? Finding those Nazi gold eggs was easier than predicting these tariff things! Speaking of which this Trump fellow's tariff policies...whew! It's like trying to catch a greased pig. But Costco? They're dodging those punches like I dodge bad guys in a crowded marketplace!
Tariff Fu: Costco's Secret Weapon
These Loop Capital guys are smart cookies like me when I'm figuring out how to use a ladder to defeat a gang of thugs. They say tariffs might even help Costco. It’s like turning a disadvantage into an advantage – pure Jackie Chan style! Because Costco can get their stuff from all over the world they got the upper hand. It is like my Drunken Master fighting style use the weakness as strength!
One Third From the US Like One Third of 'Shanghai Noon' in Nevada
Telsey Advisory Group pointed out Costco's defensive product mix and focus on value help win customers in this rising cost environment. Very smart. It is like in 'Who Am I?' when I used my amnesia as the weapon to find out who I really am. They mentioned only about a third of their U.S. sales are imports and less than half of that total is from China Mexico and Canada! That’s like saying only a third of 'Shanghai Noon' was actually in Nevada! Still good still works!
Kirkland Signature: The Secret Sauce!
Amazon's CEO is worried about passing tariff costs to consumers! HA! Costco is sitting pretty with their Kirkland Signature brand. It’s like my signature move – always reliable always gets the job done! It is what gives the movie the Jackie Chan feel and the brand is what gives Costco the edge!
Bottom Line: Stick with Costco Like Sticking with a Good Fight!
Jim Cramer says 'It has been a mistake to sell every single time!' And Jeff Marks says 'Costco works in any type of economy!' They are totally right. Investors need to stick with Costco. It's like sticking with me during a crazy stunt – you know it’s going to be a wild ride but you'll come out on top! So go to Costco buy in bulk and remember: 'Don't be afraid to make mistakes but try not to fall into the same one twice!' and invest in Costco!
