Trump's Syrian Gamble: A Deal with the Devil or a Path to Peace?

Right listen up. News reaches my ears that Donald Trump that blithering American fool has been gallivanting in Saudi Arabia. Met with this Al Sharaa fella the new Syrian leader. Al Qaeda they say he was. 'Reformed' he claims. Sounds like the usual bollocks if you ask me same as Churchill with his deals.

Sanctions Lifted A New Dawn?

They've lifted the sanctions the Yanks have. Claim it's a 'chance at greatness' for Syria. Greatness? That country's been through more hell than a Shelby family Christmas. But remember "Whiskey's good proofing water. Tells you who's real and who isn't.". So we'll see what this new regime is made of.

The Saudi and Turkish Hand

Saudis and Turks played a hand in this little game apparently convincing Trump to lift the sanctions and meet with this Al Sharaa. Everyone's got an angle haven't they? Always a bloody power play. Like a game of chess with live ammunition. As my aunt Pol would say "There's God and there are the Peaky Blinders.". In this case it's the Saudis the Turks and that bloody Yank in the game.

Trump's Wish List

Trump's given Al Sharaa a list of demands longer than a bloody betting slip. Abraham Accords deporting terrorists fighting ISIS. As if it's that simple. "Everyone's a whore Grace. We just sell different parts of ourselves.". Trump's selling this 'peace' deal and Al Sharaa is selling himself. But what are they really buying?

A Chance at Peace?

He wants to 'stabilize the country and keep peace'. Like he’s ordering a pint at the Garrison. This ain't Small Heath Donald. But I suppose even a broken clock is right twice a day. The world is what it is. We've got to deal with it.

The Shelby Verdict

So what's the verdict? Is this a masterstroke or a complete bloody disaster? Too early to say. But mark my words there will be consequences. And when the dust settles someone will be paying the price. "Lies travel faster than the truth.". The truth will come out eventually. And when it does I'll be ready.
