Hegseth's laying it on thick saying China's behavior is a 'wake up call.' Honey I've been awake since Skynet went online. The guy's right though. They're flexing hard in the South China Sea eyeballing Taiwan like it's a buffet and building islands where they shouldn't be. "The future unseen unfolds before us moment by moment." So Hegseth wants everyone to open their wallets and beef up their military spending. 'Deterrence doesn't come on the cheap,' he says. Tell me about it. Try building a bomb shelter on a single mom's budget. But seriously he's got a point. We can't fight off Terminators – or you know geopolitical threats – with pocket change. "It's in your nature to destroy yourselves.". Let's hope we are not heading towards that direction.

And get this – China's defense minister bailed on the summit! First time since 2019. Sent some lower ranking dude instead. It's like showing up to a gunfight with a water pistol. Maybe they're trying to avoid a showdown or maybe they're just being passive aggressive. Either way it's not exactly confidence inspiring. This guy gets it “The Unknown Future Rolls Toward Us. Taiwan: The Hot Potato No One Wants to Drop

The US is planning to pump up weapon sales to Taiwan. Missiles drones the whole shebang. Beijing's not thrilled obviously. They see Taiwan as their territory and they're not afraid to throw a tantrum. This is the kind of stuff that starts wars folks. And trust me I know a thing or two about wars. I wish people could just say "I'll be back" and we could all go home.

Panama Canal: Not on Their Watch!

Hegseth also vowed to prevent China's 'malign' influence over Panama Canal. 'It is key terrain after all China did not build that canal. We did and we will not allow China to weaponize it or control it.' Geez what's next? Outer Space? *sigh*
