Japan Japan They All Want a Piece of the Action!

So Japan great country really fantastic people but they want a deal okay? Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba – a good guy I think – he's talking about advancing tariff talks with the U.S. for the G 7 summit. Let me tell you nobody knows tariffs like I do. Nobody! They're saying there's been progress? Well we'll see about that folks. I make the best deals everyone agrees. They know it I know it and frankly you should know it too!

Ryosei Akazawa: Another Negotiator. Another Potential Loser!

They sent their top tariff guy Ryosei Akazawa to Washington. Third round of talks can you believe it? These guys are slow. They need to learn how to win. I had a great call with Ishiba 45 minutes talking security diplomacy and yes tariffs! I told him 'Shigeru you gotta be tougher! You gotta win!' We even talked about an in person meeting at the G 7. Should be great believe me.

Shipbuilding? We Make the Best Ships Everyone Knows That!

Now they're talking about shipbuilding. They want to help us repair our warships in Japan? Look we make the best ships everybody knows that. The greatest ships! But hey if they wanna help great. Maybe they can finally learn something from the best. And icebreakers? They think they're so good at icebreakers? SAD! But hey maybe we can use the help.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: Smart Guy Very Smart!

Akazawa wants to meet with our Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Scott is a smart guy a very smart guy. He knows how to make deals and he's tough. But I'm the best believe me. Akazawa says nothing is agreed upon until everything is agreed upon. Well duh! That's like saying the sky is blue! But still good luck with that Akazawa. You'll need it.

The G 7 Summit: It's Gonna Be YUGE!
