Trump's Call to Putin: Like Peas and Carrots, or More Like Oil and Water?

Like a Box of Chocolates?

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. Well Mr. Trump he's gonna talk to Mr. Putin. Reminds me of when I met President Kennedy... shook his hand real good. This time it's a phone call they say. It's all happening on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET. That's important I reckon.

Stopping Some of the Good Stuff

Now they're saying the US is gonna stop sending some of the boom booms and bang bangs to Ukraine. Ukraine they're fighting the Russians see. It's like ping pong back and forth. But this ain't no ping pong this is serious business. Makes you think about Bubba and all those shrimp we never got to catch. War is hard. My mama always told me.

America First Like Jenny Said About Herself

This here Anna Kelly she works for the White House says they're putting America first. That's what she said! Kinda like how Jenny always looked out for herself first if you catch my drift. The Pentagon that's a big building with lots of important folks they looked at all the guns and whatnot we got. Figured we needed to hold some back.

Pompeo's Two Cents

Mr. Pompeo he used to be important with the government. He said Ukraine don't want our soldiers just the stuff to fight with. He thinks it would be a real mess if Russia won. Like losing all your money on a shrimp boat I suppose. I don't know about all that but losing money is never a good thing.

Pentagon's Playbook

Then this Sean Parnell guy from the Pentagon says they're giving Mr. President Trump options for helping Ukraine. They want to end the war but they also want to make sure we got enough stuff here at home. It's like trying to run fast and tie your shoes at the same time. But what I know about that anyway I'm just a simple man.

Zelenskyy's Worries

Mr. Zelenskyy he's the head honcho in Ukraine says they're working with the US to figure out what's what. He wants to protect his people. Which makes sense. Like when Bubba wanted to protect all those shrimps before that darn storm came. I hope everything works out all right. Sometimes it just rains.
