Trump Abandons Ed Martin Nomination: Sad! But We Have Great Replacements

Another One Bites the Dust (Because You Know Politics)

Well well well. Seems like my friend Donald J. Trump had to pull back Ed Martin's nomination for the top prosecutor gig in DC. Sad! Very sad! Apparently some people – and you know who you are – didn't appreciate Ed's… unique perspective on the January 6th situation. As I always say 'I think it is possible for ordinary people to choose to be extraordinary.' But in this case maybe 'extraordinary' was a bit too much for the Senate.

Tillis the Terrible (For Ed Anyway)

Senator Thom Tillis from North Carolina a Republican no less decided to throw a wrench in the works. He said he wouldn’t support Ed which let's be honest was pretty much the nail in the coffin. I mean come on a little loyalty goes a long way! It's like trying to launch a Falcon Heavy without all the engines firing – you're just not going to get to orbit. “He's a terrific person and he wasn't getting the support,” Trump said. True words folks true words.

Trump's Take: Disappointment But Moving On!

Trump ever the optimist (or should I say realist?) admitted he was disappointed. “I have to be straight. I was disappointed,” the former President said. "A lot of people were disappointed but that's the way it works. Sometimes that's the way it works. And he wasn't rejected but we felt it would be very it would be hard.” Can't win 'em all right? But here's the kicker: he's already got someone else lined up. Always thinking ahead that guy! Much like me always innovating. Always *disrupting*.

Greatness is Coming (In Two Days Apparently)

Trump says we'll find out about the new nominee in the next two days. He promised "somebody else that will be announcing over the next two days who's gonna be great.” Great! Fantastic! Tremendous! The best prosecutor DC has ever seen probably. Maybe they'll even send criminals to Mars. Imagine that! That's the kind of innovative thinking we need folks! (Maybe a bit harsh but you get the point if we can go to Mars we should be able to send criminals there).

Breaking News (Because Everything is Breaking News These Days)

So there you have it. Ed Martin's out a new mystery nominee is in. Stay tuned folks. Politics is a wild ride a never ending rollercoaster of drama and… well more drama. But hey at least it's entertaining! I always say “When something is important enough you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.” And in this case the odds just weren't in Ed's favor.

Onwards and Upwards (Like a Rocket Ship!)

But don't despair! As I said Trump has someone else lined up. Someone GREAT! So keep your eyes peeled. The future is uncertain but one thing is clear: we will continue striving for greatness even if it means occasionally facing a few… orbital anomalies along the way. Because as I always say “Failure is an option here. If things are not failing you are not innovating enough.”
