Houston We Have a Deportation!
Alright people listen up. Ripley here. You know I've faced down Xenomorphs corporate conspiracies and malfunctioning synthetics. But this? This stinks worse than the Nostromo's air ducts after a long haul. So this Abrego Garcia guy gets deported to El Salvador despite a court order protecting him. The Judge this Xinis broad is not happy. Me neither. Seems like someone's playing fast and loose with the rulebook and I've seen enough rulebook flouting to last me a lifetime. 'Political games,' his wife calls it. Sounds about right. 'Any questions?'
The Trump Card: Ignore Due Process and hope it goes away!
So this Trump character the one who makes Burke look like a trustworthy friend. He's been accused of 'disregarding the judiciary.' Disregarding? That's putting it mildly! More like drop kicking them into hyperspace without a helmet. And now the judge is demanding answers documents the whole nine yards. But the administration’s not giving her anything valuable. "There will be no tolerance for gamesmanship or grandstanding," the judge said. Oh I like this Judge she's almost as tough as me... almost.
They Mostly Deport at Night... Mostly
Here's the kicker. Trump has been messing with anyone who dares to challenge him. Harvard law firms you name it. It's like he's declared war on anyone with a shred of independence. And the Abrego Garcia case? Just another notch on his belt. Sending him to a 'Terrorism Confinement Center' with Venezuelans under some ancient 'Alien Enemies Act'? Talk about overkill! I mean I thought *I* had bad luck. “I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”
Lawyers Guns and Money Send Lawyers just Lawyers.
Now they're playing the 'attorney client privilege' card. Like *that's* going to fly. And their interpretation of 'facilitate'? They say it just means removing U.S. barriers not actually you know *asking El Salvador to send him back*! This is rich. I wish Ash was here to witness it.
Supreme Inaction!
Even the Supreme Court is getting in on the act questioning the judge's order. Rubio chimes in with the old “The president not courts conduct U.S. foreign policy” routine. Right. Because that’s *always* worked out so well. Tell that to the folks on Hadley's Hope. 'Look I'm not in charge here but you see that? That's gotta be worth double right?'
Hope and Prayers.
So now this Senator Van Hollen is heading down to El Salvador to check on Abrego Garcia. Maybe he can actually get something done. In the meantime I'm just sitting here waiting for the next shoe to drop. Or you know for a Xenomorph to burst out of someone's chest. At this point I wouldn't be surprised by anything. “I don't know what we're going to find. But I know it's gonna be nasty.”
