Poland's presidential election could swing the nation towards or away from Europe, reminding me that sometimes the only way to be sure is to vote... or nuke it from orbit.

Back in the Habit: Poland's Political Face Off

Alright people Ripley here. Seems like Poland's got itself another one of those… elections. Apparently they're deciding whether to stick with the EU or cozy up to the 'Make America Great Again' crowd. Reminds me of trying to decide whether to trust Ash or not. Spoiler alert: always trust your gut even if it's telling you to torch everything and start over.

Tusk vs. Nawrocki: It's a Cage Match of Ideologies!

So you've got Tusk's guy Trzaskowski – sounds like a sneeze but he's all about that European unity. Then there's Nawrocki backed by the nationalist Law and Justice party and seemingly BFFs with… you guessed it the Trumpinator. It's like watching Burke try to sell me on the benefits of the Xenomorph. Never gonna happen pal.

No One Can Hear You Poll: Blackout Before the Storm

They've got this media blackout thing going on can't publish poll results until the whole shebang is over. Reminds me of waiting to see what crawled out of Kane's chest. The suspense is terrible I hope it will last.

Meanwhile in Romania…

Turns out Romania's having its own version of this circus. Another nationalist dude trying to "Make Romania Great Again." If these guys win the EU's gonna feel like they're facing a whole hive of Xenomorphs with flamethrowers that have run out of fuel. I hate this place.

Ukraine: The Uninvited Guest at the Political Party

Let's not forget Ukraine. Russia's got its teeth sunk in and Poland's got refugees galore. Nawrocki is stirring up trouble against Ukrainians. Sounds like pure Burke level greed and recklessness to me. 'We got it all on film see? This is gonna be worth millions!' Yeah right before it kills us all.

Veto This! Powers and Promises in Poland

Polish president doesn't have all that much power but they can veto laws. That's how they stop the guy in charge from actually doing something good which makes no sense at all. Trzaskowski wants to fix the mess that the other guys left behind. Sounds like trying to decontaminate the Nostromo after *that* little incident. Good luck with that.
