Aw, Phooey! G7 Summit in Canada! Will Trump Make Things Go Quackers?

What in the World is a G7?!

Aw geez! It seems like all the big shots—you know like the U.S. U.K. Canada France Germany Italy and Japan—are waddling off to Canada for some kind of pow wow called the G7! They're inviting even more folks this year like Australia Brazil and even Ukraine! What's the big idea? Well they say it's to yap about the world's problems but it sounds like a recipe for a major headache to me! Like I always say 'I'm too young to be a has been but too old to be a wanna be!'

Trump's Tariff Troubles!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It seems like ol' Trumpy boy has been quacking up a storm with his trade tariffs. He's got everyone in a tizzy especially Canada with those hefty duties on autos steel and aluminum. Can you believe it? 25% on autos and 50% on steel and aluminum! Even I know that's a bad deal! "What are we going to do Huey Dewey and Louie?" Well for starters maybe someone should remind him that making enemies isn't the best way to make friends especially when you’re dealing with international bigwigs.

Canada's Counter Quack!

But hold on a minute! Canada ain't takin' it lyin' down! They're slapping their own tariffs on US imports. But they had to put some of them tariffs on hold to help their local businesses. It's like that time I tried to outsmart Uncle Scrooge only to end up with a pie in the face! Sometimes you gotta pick your battles see? As the old saying goes “When things get too hot that’s when you light the fire!" Wait did I get that right?

No Comm uni qué? No Way!

Well how about this one! Seems like Canada is throwing the G7 rulebook out the window by ditching the usual joint statement! Why? Well probably to avoid another Donald Duck sized tantrum like back in 2018 when Trump pulled the U.S.' support at the last minute! I’ll tell ya “I never get a break!” I mean I get mad sure but at least I don't go and ruin international agreements! Talk about a quack up!

Ukraine the Middle East and Other Headaches!

And if trade wars weren't enough these fellas also have to chat about Ukraine and the Middle East. It's like they're trying to stir up as much trouble as possible! With so much going on it's no wonder my feathers are ruffled! I'd rather deal with Pete the Cat than all of this! And as for me I say "I am glad to cooperate but I am not going to do your dirty work!"

Will Trump Play Nice?

So will Trump play nice at this G7 shindig? Who knows! Experts are saying that he treated the last one like a reality TV show! So watch out G7 Leaders because with Trump in the house this summit is going to be "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh!" (Oh boy oh boy!)
