Well blow me down! It seems ol' Congressman Don Bacon from Nebraska is packin' his bags and sayin' 'so long' to Congress. Yep you heard right! This ain't no tall tale folks! Sources are chirpin' that he's gonna announce his retirement soon. Why you ask? Beats me! Maybe he finally realized Congress is nuttier than a squirrel in a peanut factory! Quack!

A Golden Opportunity for the Donkey Party!

Now hold on to your hats 'cause this is where it gets interesting! With Bacon gone the Democrats are smellin' victory! This could be their chance to snag a House seat in Nebraska. And lemme tell ya in this political climate every single seat counts! They're gonna need to flip seats like I flip pancakes on a Sunday mornin'… and I'm pretty good at flippin' pancakes!

No More Incumbent Advantage? Good Riddance!

Without Bacon around the Republicans are gonna have a harder time holdin' onto that seat. The incumbent advantage is gone poof! Vanished! Like a magician's rabbit! I always say 'Never trust anyone who breaks a promise' and an incumbent advantage is kinda like a promise to the voters. Without it they're gonna have to work extra hard but I doubt they will. Bacon's district includes most of Omaha and that's one competitive place I tell ya! Even Kamala Harris that former Vice President won Bacon's district in 2024 and Biden did even better in 2020! Looks like the tides are turnin' folks! I just hope those tides don't wash away my boat!

Trump Troubles? Could Be!

Now here's a juicy tidbit! Bacon wasn't exactly President Trump's biggest fan. He's been known to criticize him which let's be honest takes some guts! Maybe that had somethin' to do with his decision to bail. Maybe he just couldn't stand all the squawkin'! He's probably a wise man! Heh heh heh! I know I have the guts to criticize some people it's my nephews after all. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
