Fox One Streaming: Like a Box of Chocolates, You Never Know What You're Gonna Get!

Mama Always Said...

Well hello there. Forrest Gump here reporting on some newfangled thing called Fox One. Mr. Murdoch the big cheese at Fox says they're gonna have this streaming service thingy before the footballs start flyin' this year. Reminds me of Mama always sayin' 'Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get.' And I reckon that's how it is with this streaming business. Will it be good? Will it be like a chocolate with coconut? Only time will tell.

Run Forrest Run... from Cable?

Now Mr. Murdoch seems real keen on not losin' folks from their cable TV. Says they don't want folks runnin' away from cable like I ran from those bullies back in Greenbow Alabama. He wants to keep the price up so it ain't too cheap. Says it'd be a 'failure' if too many folks cut the cord. I'm not sure what a 'cord' is but it sounds important.

Bundles of Joy (Maybe?)

Seems like Fox is gonna try and bundle this Fox One thing with other services like peas and carrots. They’re hopin' folks will want it more if it comes with other stuff. Mr. Murdoch says lots of other streamers are already askin' about it. I hope it all works out. Jenny always liked when things were bundled together especially when it involved yarn for her knitting.

Super Bowl and Super Dollars

Fox made a whole heap of money this last quarter 'bout $4.37 billion. That's a whole lotta shrimp! Seems the Super Bowl helped out big time with ads costin' 'bout $8 million a pop. That's more than I ever made shrimpin' with Bubba and we caught a whole lotta shrimp! They said they got a 65% increase in advertisin' money during the quarter. I don’t know much about the money thing but Lt. Dan would probably know.

A Shrimp Boat in a Streaming Sea

Now Fox ain't been swimmin' in the streaming waters like some other folks. They got Fox Nation and Tubi but this Fox One thing is supposed to be the whole shebang. They even tried to team up with some other companies for a sports streamer called Venu but that didn't work out. Reminds me of tryin' to play ping pong with Lt. Dan. We tried but it just wasn't meant to be.

So there you have it. Fox One is comin' soon. It's gonna have a healthy price lots of bundles and hopefully it won't make folks run away from cable. Mama always said 'Stupid is as stupid does.' I hope this Fox One ain't stupid. I reckon we'll all just have to wait and see. And that's all I have to say about that.
