Is This My Brain Baby?

Alright Austin Powers here reporting live from the front lines of... brains! Yeah! Seems like some groovy cats at a company called Paradromics have stuck a brain computer interface – that's a BCI for you squares – into a human brain for the first time! A human I say! I wonder if they needed to use my mojo!

Shagadelic Surgery!

The procedure went down at the University of Michigan apparently while some poor sap was already under the knife for epilepsy. Talk about a two for one special baby! The company's technology was implanted and removed in about 20 minutes. Twenty minutes! I've spent longer than that trying to untangle my ascot! But hey at least they proved their system can be safely implanted and record neural activity. That's pretty shagadelic!

Clinical Trials: Not Just for Bad Guys Anymore!

Paradromics is planning to kick off a clinical trial later this year to study the long term safety and use of its technology in humans. Founder Matt Angle (not to be confused with my arch nemesis Dr. Evil although they both sound kinda nefarious) told CNBC that their device is 'best in class'. Best in class baby! Is it better than a shag carpet? I think not but I like their moxie.

From Sheep to Humans: A Quantum Leap?

They've already tested this on sheep apparently. Sheep! What next hamsters? Are they trying to create an army of mind controlled farm animals? This is getting a little scary baby! But hey if it helps paralyzed people speak through computers then I'm all for it! As long as they don't start ordering anchovy smoothies.

Mojo Not Included (Yet)!

Of course the U.S. Food and Drug Administration hasn't given this thing the thumbs up yet. But Angle says that the May procedure was a success. "You do all of these steps... but still emotionally when it works and when it happens the way you expected it to it's still very very gratifying." He said this with a smug look on his face I assume! Grrrr baby very Grrrr!!!

Neuralink and Other Shagsters!

Paradromics isn't the only one trying to get in on this brain computer action. Elon Musk's Neuralink is also developing a system. And Synchron has already implanted its system in humans. Looks like a competition is afoot! Well I want to try their product baby!! I'm so ready to try it! I'm so ready! It's My thing!
