Oh Behave! Trade War Takes a Back Seat

Alright baby! It seems the Yanks and the Chinese are putting down their dukes or in this case their tariffs. The U.S. just told GE Aerospace they can start sending those jet engines to China's COMAC again. Can you dig it? It's like they're saying "Let's not get caught up in the seriousness Basil!" after a good ol' shouting match.

China's Plane Dreams Get a Boost Baby!

Now COMAC that's China's aerospace company wants to be a real player in the plane game going head to head with those Airbus and Boeing cats. These GE engines are like the secret sauce baby! Especially for their C919 aircraft. You know the one they hope will be the bee's knees on international flights. It's all about world domination...aerodynamically speaking of course! Groovy!

Rare Earth Rumble No More?

Word on the street (or should I say the runway?) is that this whole kerfuffle started when China got a bit stingy with the rare earths – those minerals everyone needs for like everything! It was all part of a tit for tat with Trump's tariffs and things got stickier than shag carpet after a fondue party. But now it looks like they're smoothing things over baby. Yeah!

LEAP 1C Engines? More Like LEAPING to Conclusions!

So these LEAP 1C engines are a big deal. They're for COMAC's C919 – that's their single aisle baby. And GE's CF34 engine is for their C909 regional jet. The LEAP 1 C engines are a product of a joint venture between GE Aerospace and France's Safran. It's a true international love in baby! It's enough to make you say "Yeah baby yeah!"

Honeywell and Collins Join the Party But Stay Mum

Seems like GE isn't the only one getting a bit of love from Uncle Sam. At least one other aerospace company had its license suspensions for China lifted on Thursday according to another person. We're talking about Honeywell Aerospace which has been supplying COMAC's C919 with all sorts of goodies like the auxiliary power system and flight control package. But when asked they played coy like a virgin on her wedding night baby! And Collins Aerospace a subsidiary of RTX which also supplies components for COMAC declined to comment on the status of its licenses.

What Does It All Mean Basil?

In short baby the US and China are trying to find their mojo again. It's all about keeping the global economy humming smoother than my purrfect pickup lines. Let's just hope they don't go back to being naughty and ruin it for the rest of us. As I always say “What's the world coming to when people can't trust each other?!”. Shagadelic!
