Prime Real Estate Same Old Hustle

Right so Google's gone and turned its Google Doodle into a bloody billboard for this 'AI Mode'. Seems like Alphabet's decided that the most valuable bit of digital land they own should be used to flog their latest creation. Click on the pretty picture and bam you're face to face with their new AI search thingy. Smart move innit? Like putting a Shelby Company Limited poster right in the middle of Birmingham. Gets your attention whether you like it or not. But remember everyone is a whore Grace we just sell different parts of ourselves.

AI Wars: It's A Bloody Battle

This AI Mode push comes while Google's sweating more than a bookie facing Polly. All these AI startups like OpenAI with their ChatGPT Anthropic with Claude and that Perplexity AI mob are nipping at their heels. They're feeling the heat and this Doodle stunt is their way of flexing. It's a declaration of war plain and simple. And in this war there's only one rule: no rules.

AI Mode: A Chat With A Machine

AI Mode they call it. Sounds fancy. But it's just another way to ask questions and get answers. Google's trying to make it seem like it's doing you a favour saving you from having to search multiple times. But let's be honest it's just a chatbot dressed up in a fancy suit. Still better than listening to Arthur ramble about his latest scheme. Although sometimes I'm not so sure.

Gemini's Got The Power

This whole AI Mode thing is powered by their Gemini AI model. They’re rolling it out to more of you lot in the States. Text voice images – you can throw anything at it. Google reckons it'll find answers to complex questions faster than you can say 'By order of the Peaky Blinders!' I'll believe it when I see it. But eh what choice do we have?

Replacing Lucky: Risky Business

And here's the kicker: they even replaced that 'I'm Feeling Lucky' widget with this AI Mode nonsense. Now Google rarely fiddles with that spot. They must be desperate. Shows you how much they're betting on this AI malarkey. Risky move but that's what we do. Risk is our business. At this point you just need to listen when people talk listen to what they don't say.

Money and Machines: The Future's Here

So there you have it. Google's throwing its weight around in the AI game. They're spending the big bucks and they're not afraid to show it. Whether it's a brilliant move or a desperate gamble remains to be seen. But one thing's for sure: the future is here and it's powered by machines. And remember this: 'Intelligence is a very valuable thing innit my friend? And usually it comes far too f***ing late.'
