My Spidey Sense is Tingling... with Streaming News!
Alright web heads your friendly neighborhood Spider Man here swinging in with some news that's got my Spidey Sense tingling! Fox Corp. is launching a streaming service called… drumroll please… Fox One! Yeah I know not exactly 'Spectacular Spider Man' level of creativity but hey maybe the content will make up for it! They're aiming to launch before the next NFL season which means more chances for me to catch the games (when I'm not busy saving the city of course. Priorities people!).
Cable? Streaming? Why Not Both?
So here's the deal: Fox One wants to be buddies with cable TV not enemies. Apparently if you already have cable you might get Fox One for free! It's like a 'With great power comes great responsibility' kind of situation for cable companies or something. Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch says they don't want to lose cable subscribers which honestly is kind of like saying you don't want to get hit by a bus. I mean who *does*? But seriously they want a 'healthy' price not some deep discount. Meaning don't expect to get it for the price of a slice of pizza from Joe's.
Bundles of Joy (and Content)!
It sounds like Fox is playing nice with other streamers too talking about bundling up Fox One with other services. Think of it as a super team up! Fox is like 'Hey Disney and Warner Bros. wanna join forces?' I bet they're all sitting around a table negotiating deals while I'm out here fighting Doctor Octopus. No respect I tell ya! Seriously though bundles could mean more options and maybe just maybe a slightly lighter hit on your wallet. A guy can dream right?
Super Bowl Scores and Advertising Bonanza!
Fox had a super good quarter apparently raking in the dough thanks to the Super Bowl. I heard those ads cost like eight *million* bucks a pop! That's enough to buy like a lifetime supply of web fluid and maybe a new Spider Mobile. Maybe. They saw a whopping 65% increase in ad revenue! That's enough green to make the Green Goblin jealous. (Not that I'd want to make *him* jealous yikes.)
Fox Joins the Streaming Game: Finally!
So Fox is finally jumping headfirst into the streaming wars late as usual. They already have Fox Nation and Tubi but they wanted to offer all their stuff directly to you folks at home and they got tired of me asking where I can watch the games when I'm not busy you know saving the world which is pretty time consuming. Remember Venu? Yeah that joint streaming venture with Warner Bros. and Disney that bit the dust. Fox was the only one without a proper streaming service so they said 'alright let's get to it!'
ESPN's New App: A Web Slinger's Take
Speaking of Disney seems ESPN is launching a new flagship streaming app. I'm sure it'll be… *spectacular*. (Get it?) CNBC says they're just calling it 'ESPN'. Straight to the point. I'm just hoping it doesn't cost an arm and a leg because between web fluid utility bills and saving the city a superhero's gotta budget you know? Now if you'll excuse me I hear sirens. Duty calls! Later web heads!

Will this include Spider-Man cartoons? Asking for a friend... who is also me.

I bet J. Jonah Jameson will find a way to complain about this.
