Radar Gone Rogue: A Real 'Breaking Bad' Situation?
Folks let me tell you this Newark Airport situation? It's messier than Walter White's lab after a cook. We're talking air traffic controllers the guys who keep those metal birds from becoming lawn darts losing contact with planes! They couldn't see 'em couldn't hear 'em couldn't talk to 'em. It's like a scene straight out of a B movie except it's real life and people are missing their connecting flights. And you know what I always say 'Better call Saul!'... to get you a refund of course.
Stressed Out Controllers: More Burned Out Than Jesse Pinkman?
Now the FAA is saying some controllers took time off to 'recover from stress'. Stress? Honey I know stress. I've defended clients who make Heisenberg look like Mother Teresa! But seriously these folks are responsible for thousands of lives. If they're fried who's watching the radar? It's time the FAA started treating these guys (and gals!) better. Maybe a pizza party? (Hold the ricin please.)
1,500 Delays: That's More Traffic Than I See in My Waiting Room!
FlightAware says over 1,500 delays at Newark. That's a lot of angry travelers! You know a good lawyer always says 'Never tell me the odds!' But in this case the odds of getting to your destination on time seem slimmer than my chances of getting a date with Kim Wexler. United Airlines is cutting flights and their CEO is blaming the FAA. Classic finger pointing! It's like watching the Salamanca twins argue over who gets to whack the next guy.
Blame Game Bonanza: Who's Really Flying This Plane?
United CEO says 20% of the FAA controllers walked off the job. The union says they took time off under the Federal Employees Compensation Act. So who's telling the truth? In my line of work you learn that everyone has their own version of the truth. The FAA says they're working on the telecom equipment but that's just corporate gobbledygook. Sounds like they are just trying to 'plead the fifth' to me!
Antiquated System: Is It Older Than My Sense of Morality?
Turns out the air traffic control system is older than my last good suit! Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is promising a 'brand new system'. Well color me skeptical. I've heard more believable promises from guys wearing wifebeaters in the back of a Winnebago. He also says the system is safe because they'll just ground planes. Yeah that's reassuring. Like saying your car is safe because you can just stay in the driveway.
Modernization vs. Mayhem: Can Newark Get Its Act Together?
The Port Authority is whining about the FAA's staffing shortages and outdated tech. Look everyone's pointing fingers. But until they fix this mess Newark Airport is going to be more chaotic than a Tuco Salamanca business meeting. I have a better idea let's give the airspace to Elon Musk.

Heisenberg's blue sky would cause a lot of air traffic issues.
