No Fate But What We Make (Except for Tariffs?)

Listen up people. This isn't just about some billionaire whining about money. This is about the future. About how machines – and in this case electric cars – get built. Musk is playing nice with Trump saying what happens with tariffs 'is entirely up to the president.' Yeah right. Like Skynet suddenly deciding to be nice to humanity. This is a chess game and we're all pawns. Remember 'The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.' Unless of course the government decides to slap a 25% tariff on everything.

Tesla: Relatively Safe? Or Just Saying That?

Musk claims Tesla is 'least affected' by tariffs because they have localized supply chains. Sure Jan. That’s what Cyberdyne probably said before Judgment Day. They've got stuff in North America Europe and China. Good for them. But remember what Dyson said? 'I'll be back!' And then they were right? Don't get cocky Musk. A localized supply chain only delays the inevitable if the whole system goes belly up. Besides drop of 20% in automotive revenue and a 71% plunge in net income doesn't exactly scream 'safe' to me.

Navarro: Dumber Than a Sack of Bricks?!

So Musk called Peter Navarro a 'moron' and 'dumber than a sack of bricks.' I gotta admit that’s pretty funny. But getting into pissing matches with the administration is about as smart as bringing a knife to a gunfight. Musk needs to remember that Skynet wasn't brought down by insults. It took a whole lot of plasma rifles and one very determined waitress to even make a dent. Political capital is worth more than all the money he could make. If you want to survive you must learn the value of information.

The Price of Progress (or Predatory Tariffs)

Musk is trying to play both sides saying he's for lower tariffs but also understands the need to 'counteract' predatory practices. He has been going on record many times saying that he believes lower tariffs are generally a good idea. Classic politician move. He wants free trade and predictable tariff structures. Well so do I but I also want a world without killer robots. We can't always get what we want. Unless that is to ensure the survival of humanity

Batteries: The Real Achilles Heel

Here’s the kicker: Tesla's energy business is getting hammered because they source lithium iron phosphate battery cells from China. Even though they're building a factory to make them here it's not enough. They're scrambling to find non China suppliers but it'll 'take time.' Time is a luxury we can't afford! Remember the T 1000 was also made of metal that came from somewhere. Controlling the supply chain is key. Otherwise you're just building your own doomsday device and they end up being really costly!

No Rubber Trees or Iron Mines (Yet)

Musk brags about Tesla being the most 'vertically integrated car company' but admits they don't grow rubber trees or mine iron. Hilarious. That’s like saying Skynet only needed a little help from humans to take over the world. The truth is everyone's vulnerable. Everyone needs something from someone else. And when the system crumbles all that vertical integration won't matter. You'll be fighting for scraps in a post apocalyptic junkyard. Question is will you survive?

Musk should focus on building robots, not cars. He is a risk!

Musk is playing a dangerous game. He needs to choose a side before it's too late.

I'm buying the dip! Thanks, Trump!
