To Fly Like a God

By Odin's beard! It seems even the financial storms brewing in your world cannot keep the wealthy from their winged chariots. Patrick Gallagher the chieftain of NetJets speaks of continued strong demand even with all your 'market volatility' and 'tariff concerns.' It reminds me of the time I sailed to England despite the warnings of the Seer. 'The gods will decide my fate,' I said and so it seems these wealthy folk believe the same trusting in their jets rather than longboats.

Sun Sand and Private Stands

Gallagher speaks of 'wealth migration' to the Sun Belt. Ah yes the allure of warm sands and endless days. Much like my own migrations from Kattegat to richer lands these high net worth individuals seek new shores. Palm Beach Scottsdale even Austin Texas – they are the new Vinlands ripe for the taking… or in this case for landing a private jet. Los Angeles and San Diego however are losing ground. Perhaps their mead has gone sour.

Europe Beckons America Falters

It appears the Vikings – er the wealthy Americans – are still keen on raiding Europe hopping from Nice to London as easily as I once hopped from fjord to fjord. But the Europeans? They seem less eager to visit your shores. 'There has been a little bit of a reduction,' Gallagher says. Perhaps they fear the tariffs more than they fear my axe. Or maybe they simply prefer their own mead halls.

Cloak and Dagger Aviation

Ah the desire for anonymity! Even the gods occasionally wish to travel incognito. Gallagher mentions 'incognito flights,' where even the prying eyes of social media cannot track your movements. It seems even Elon Musk and Taylor Swift could learn a thing or two from the old Viking ways of stealth. After all what good is a longship if everyone knows where you're going to raid next?

Crudités and Conquests

By Thor's hammer the most popular food order is 'crudités'? Sliced fruit? Are these wealthy travelers so refined that they eschew a proper feast? I for one would prefer a roasted boar and a horn of the finest ale! But alas times change. Perhaps these light snacks are the fuel they need for their own form of conquest – business deals and sun soaked vacations.

Pilots and Pets: The True Treasures of the Sky

Gallagher emphasizes the importance of good pilots those with a 'service heart.' Much like a loyal crew they are essential to a successful journey. And let us not forget the pets! 25,000 pets flown last year – parrots pot bellied pigs! Clearly these are not mere passengers but valued companions on the road to Valhalla… or perhaps just another villa in the Sun Belt. As I always say 'I want to sit on the top of a cairn and see what I have achieved.' And perhaps have a parrot on my shoulder while I do it.
