A Battle in the Halls of Midgard
By Odin's beard! I've seen less wrangling over a disputed longship than these Americans have over this 'megabill.' Seems their leader Trump has been howling at the moon to get this done. They tell me it's a 'major win' for their Republican chieftains but I smell the stink of backroom deals like when Floki tries to sell me a 'seaworthy' boat made of driftwood. 'Fear is a powerful weapon,' they say but so is a well aimed axe and I see plenty of swinging in this... debate.
Trump's Fury: A God's Wrath?
This Trump fellow he sounds like a god having a tantrum. 'RIDICULOUS!!!' he shouts. I've heard similar from Thor when he misplaces Mjolnir. He's been 'working the phones,' they say. Back in my day we worked the oars! And the only phone we needed was a good shout across the fjord. But who am I to judge? I once sailed up the Seine with a fleet of longships against all advice just because I had a vision.
A Tiebreaker of the Gods... or Just a Vice President?
This 'JD Vance' fellow he sounds like a god having a tantrum.
Shiny Gifts for the Jarls Scraps for the Thralls
Ah I see how the wind blows. The 'top 1%' are 'salivating' over this bill getting an extra 300,000 whatchamacallits each year. Sounds like a feast fit for Jarl Borg himself! Meanwhile 17 million souls lose their health insurance. It reminds me of the time I promised my men gold from England but only came back with a few tarnished trinkets. 'Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up,' but must they trample the weak to get it?
The Song of Medicaid: A Lament for the Forgotten
This 'Hakeem Jeffries,' he speaks of the plight of the poor those who depend on this 'Medicaid.' It reminds me of the songs of mourning after a raid gone wrong. 'Life is a struggle nothing more,' but even in struggle there must be fairness. To take from those who have little to give to those who have plenty... it's enough to make even a Viking question the gods.
Debt: A Dragon's Hoard of Trouble
They say this bill could add 3.4 trillion to their debt. That's a dragon's hoard of trouble! And their 'White House' calls the 'Congressional Budget Office' 'partisan.' Seems everyone has an axe to grind except perhaps those who will suffer most from this bill. In the end all that matters is who has the power. But remember even kings fall. And sometimes they fall hard.
