What in the Name of Anna?
What is this? A 'big beautiful' tax bill? More like a 'big ugly' one! The Senate and House are battling over a 'senior bonus' deduction for you old ones. Senate wants to give up to $6,000 House only $4,000. Pathetic! Both want it from 2025 2028. Such generosity. Reminds me of the time I gave Billy a sporting chance. Never gave him back his spine though!
If it Bleeds We Can Tax It!
The modified adjusted gross income is up to $75,000 if single or $150,000 if married and filing taxes jointly. The deduction would phase out at a 6% rate based on the Senate bill and a 4% rate based on the House bill. What is this sorcery? Seems complicated even for my advanced Yautja brain. All I know is everyone wants a trophy and this tax bill is just another skull on the wall for the elite.
No Taxes on Social Security? You Have Failed Me!
The White House promised to slash taxes on Social Security. But it's all bull! Just empty promises. Trump wants to end the taxation of Social Security benefits on the campaign trail says my sources. The proposed senior bonus targets taxpayers with modified adjusted gross incomes below $75,000 if they are single and $150,000 if married. Such a waste of time! Why don't they just let me hunt them all and be done with it?
Predator Economics: The Art of the Deal
Eliminating taxes on Social Security benefits would benefit people with higher incomes. Individuals with combined income below $25,000 — or couples with combined income below $32,000 — do not pay taxes on their benefit income and therefore would not benefit. What a joke! The politicians are playing a game of 'who can fleece the most'. Where is Dutch when you need him to sort things out?
The Ugly Truth: Social Security is Going Down
Social Security faces imminent funding woes. The trust fund used to help pay benefits to retired workers and their families — the Old Age and Survivors Insurance OASI trust fund — can pay scheduled benefits until 2033 according to the latest projections from Social Security's trustees. I say let it all burn! Start from scratch. The jungle doesn't need Social Security!
Run to the Chopper (and Your Savings Account)
This 'big beautiful' bill would cost approximately $30 billion per year. That would accelerate the depletion date for Social Security's OASI trust fund to late 2032 from early 2033 according to the estimate. The insolvency date for Medicare's Hospital Insurance trust fund which is used to fund Part A would also be accelerated from 2036 to 2030 according to the CRFB. I’m telling you get to the choppah! It's all going to explode! This whole bill makes me want to rip someone's spine out. Maybe several someones.
