Airlines face jet shortage due to Boeing and Airbus delays, but demand remains high. Mr. Bean investigates with Teddy!

Trouble in the Sky! Where are all the planes?

Right so apparently some very important flying machines aren't arriving on time! It's like when I order my beans on toast and they take forever! Airlines like Easy…Peasy...Jet (hehe like my easy peasy solutions!) are saying Boeing and Airbus are being a bit slow with the deliveries. Makes you wonder if they're using my method of moving furniture… which involves a lot of rope and hope. Teddy usually supervises… he's a very good supervisor very serious about health and safety!

Beans on Toast... and Airline Losses?

Now this Easy…Peasy...Jet had a bit of a boo boo in the money department a loss of £394 million! That's a lot of beans! But they're saying things will be alright later in the year a bit like when I accidentally paint my entire flat blue but manage to sell it as 'modern art'. Investors however weren’t too happy so their shares took a tumble bit like when I try to ice skate!

The Blame Game: Is it the plane makers fault?

The big boss at Easy…Peasy...Jet Mr. Kenton Jarvis is pointing fingers! He says it's all because Airbus and Boeing are late. A bit like when I blame Teddy for eating all the biscuits even though I clearly saw myself do it. This means there aren't enough planes to go around so flying might be a little… squished. Like me trying to fit my Mini into a parking space. 'If only I had three wheels on my car' I would say!

Boeing Bounces Back: A Glimmer of Hope?

Ah but hold on! Boeing seems to be trying harder. They delivered nearly twice as many planes as last year! It's like when I try to cook a full Christmas dinner by myself and only set the kitchen on fire… slightly less this year. Still experts are saying it might take a while to fix all the problems. Just like the time I tried to fix my tap with a banana... it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Ryanair's Optimism: Cheap Flights Ahead?

The man in charge of Ryanair Mr. Michael O'Leary is feeling cheerful! He says Boeing is getting better and flights might be cheaper because oil prices are going down. Hooray! Maybe I can finally afford that first class ticket for Teddy… or you know just another jar of beans. Although the last time he was on a plane he caused havoc but you should not tell anyone!

Teddy's Takeaway: Pack Light and Bring Snacks!

So what does this all mean? Well it seems like flying might be a bit tricky this summer. My advice? Pack light (like REALLY light) bring plenty of snacks (essential!) and maybe bring a teddy bear for good luck. Just try not to let him pilot the plane. Remember as I always say... 'It's all downhill from here!'. Oh and if you see me at the airport feel free to offer me a bean!
