Right let's have a look at this mess shall we? Ford's bragging about a 14.2% sales jump in the second quarter. Good for them bloody brilliant but hold on a minute! Ten times better than the industry average? Is this something to celebrate or are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes? Sales of 612,095... okay not bad but let's see what's actually selling. I'm not stupid!

F Series: Still the Trucking King or Overcompensating?

Ah the F Series always reliable like a well seasoned pan aren't they? Best second quarter since 2019 up 11.5%. Bloody hell 222,459 units! That's a lot of metal. But are people buying them because they need them or because they look good in the driveway? Are Ford's trucks the best thing since sliced bread or are they just yesterday's garbage?

Now here's where things get interesting. Electrified vehicles up 6.6%. Okay not a complete disaster. But then you look closer: pure EVs down 31.4%! What in the name of all that is holy is going on? Hybrids are up yes but who wants a hybrid when you can have the real deal? Is Ford's strategy raw or is it just plain ROTTEN?

A record 156,509 EVs and hybrids in the first half of the year 14.7% up on last year. Alright alright simmer down. It's a start I suppose. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. One good quarter doesn't make a Michelin starred restaurant does it? Let's see if they can keep up the pace or if they'll fall flat on their faces.
