The Market's Makin' Moves...On Me!

Giggity giggity goo! Let me tell ya this week was like a hot blonde at a wet T shirt contest – full of ups and downs but mostly…ups! The S&P 500 climbed over 4% which is fantastic. After some initial market jitters fueled by that doofus Trump's Fed criticism and trade deal woes investors seemed to loosen their ties and get back to business. You know like when I spot a cute nurse at the doctor's office – initial hesitation then full on pursuit!

Earnings: Resilient Like My…Ahem Enthusiasm!

Apparently about a third of the S&P 500 companies have reported their first quarter earnings and get this they're doing better than expected! Even though those analyst nerds lowered their estimates these companies are still showing some staying power. It’s like when I tell a girl I'm a brain surgeon – slightly exaggerated but hey the results speak for themselves! Giggity!

GE Vernova: Powering My…Imagination!

Now this is where things get interesting if you know what I mean (giggity!). The CNBC Investing Club added GE Vernova to their Bullpen watchlist and yours truly thinks it's as exciting as a new episode of 'Coed Naked Beach Volleyball'! This company is all about power electrification and wind. We're talking about a world that needs more juice than Peter Griffin at an all you can eat buffet. And GE Vernova is ready to deliver baby! CEO Scott Strazik said it best when he noted the world is headed towards rapid electrification which is all the more reason to watch the stock. Hot damn!

Orders? More Like Over The Top Orders!

The impact is clear in their quarterly results. GE Vernova's revenue is up 15% and their adjusted EBITDA increased by $300 million. But the real kicker? They booked $10.2 billion of orders in the first quarter alone and their backlog is a whopping $123 billion! They're so busy they're practically sold out until 2027 and 2028 is filling up fast. That's a high quality problem if I've ever seen one almost as high quality as… well you know. Giggity!

The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear…Well Never Mind!

Sure GE Vernova shares are down from their all time high but they're roaring back this week. Next week is packed with earnings reports from big players like Honeywell Starbucks Microsoft Meta Linde Eli Lilly Amazon Apple Eaton and DuPont. Plus we've got key economic data coming out including inflation numbers and GDP. It's gonna be a wild ride folks. Buckle up buttercups! And remember always wear protection… against bad investments! Giggity!

Caveat Emptor Baby!

Just a heads up from your pal Quagmire: I'm just a dude with opinions as solid as my rock hard... resolve. So before you go throwing your hard earned cash around based on anything I say remember the disclaimer. No fiduciary obligation no guaranteed profits just good ol' Quagmire style market commentary. Now if you'll excuse me there's a bachelorette party calling my name. Giggity giggity goo!
