United Airlines Predicts the Future Like a Box of Chocolates You Never Know What You're Gonna Get!

Life is Like a Flight of Fancy!

Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well United Airlines is kinda feelin' the same way 'bout the economy. They done told everyone that predictin' the economy is like tryin' to catch the wind ya just can't do it! But they still think they gonna make some money no matter what. It's like when I was runnin' I didn't know where I was goin' but I kept runnin' anyway.

Uh Oh Is a Recession Like a Hurricane?

Now they did say if there's a recession they might not make as much money. Like when Bubba Blue Shrimp Company got hit by that hurricane. Things got a little rough. They think they'll still make some money just not as much as before. Still they are cutting some domestic flights which is like when Jenny cut her hair – unexpected!

Fly United Fly!

United's got a plan see. Their CEO Mr. Kirby he said they gonna keep on doin' what they're doin' no matter what. It's like when I played ping pong in the army. Didn't matter if I was tired I just kept playin'. And they made some money too! A whole $387 million profit this quarter. That's a lot of shrimp ya know!

The Price of Travel

Seems like folks are willin' to pay more for fancy seats and flyin' overseas. Like Jenny always lookin' for somethin' fancy even if it didn't make her happy. They say international flights are doin' real good but folks aren't flyin' 'round the country as much. Less money is coming in so they are cutting domestic flights which is like telling people to take a bus instead of a plane!

Delta Blues!

Now Delta Airlines they're feelin' a little blue too. They said they can't promise how much money they'll make this year 'cause things are so uncertain. Just like when I didn't know if Jenny would come back. It's all a big mystery like a box of chocolates!

Premium Seats and International Flights Are Like Peas and Carrots!

So United's doin' okay mostly 'cause folks are buyin' those fancy seats and flyin' all over the world. They think they'll make even more money next quarter. They also said they like peas and carrots which is what I said about Jenny and me! But remember life is full of surprises. You just gotta keep runnin'!
