Boom Boom Pow! What Was That Sound?

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well Wednesday was like a box of chocolates filled with firecrackers! Seems like there were some big booms in Pakistan and Pakistani Kashmir. Folks there said they heard a whole bunch of explosions and then the lights went out in Muzaffarabad. Just like when the power went out during that hurricane and Jenny and I sat on the porch swing.

India's Got Something to Say!

Now India they're saying they launched something called 'OPERATION SINDOOR.' They reckon they were hitting 'terrorist infrastructure' in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They said it was all planned and directed from there. Like Lt. Dan planning our shrimp business only with way more at stake. They even said they were being careful and didn’t go after any of Pakistan’s army stuff. Guess they were playing nice ish.

But Pakistan's military they got a different story. They told ARY which I guess is like their TV news that India attacked them with missiles in three places. And they weren't too happy about it. Like Bubba when I kept catching all the shrimp. They said they were gonna respond. That's what they said. 'Respond!'.

Tensions as High as an Elephant's Eye

All this ruckus is happening 'cause of something that happened to some Hindu tourists in Indian Kashmir last month. Real sad 26 folks lost their lives. India's blaming Pakistan for that but Pakistan's saying 'We didn't do it!'. Just like when people thought I stole all those ping pong paddles. Innocent I tell ya!

Run Forrest Run... From War!

So it's all a bit of a pickle you know? Two countries with some serious firepower and they ain't seeing eye to eye. I just hope they can figure things out. Mama always said 'Stupid is as stupid does.' And I reckon starting a big fight would be pretty stupid. Especially with those nuclear weapons they got – those are like the Devil always tempting.

Well that's the news as I see it. I gotta go now. I promised Bubba I'd help him sort through the shrimp. And you know what they say: 'Life is a box of chocolates... especially if those chocolates are made of shrimp!'
