Life is Like a Box of Stocks You Never Know What You're Gonna Get

Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get. Well this year the stock market's been like that box but with more lemons than lemon pies. But guess what? Mr. Warren Buffett and his Berkshire Hathaway? They're like that one perfect chocolate in the box. That's right folks Berkshire's stock is up 17% this year! While most big name stocks are not doing so hot.

Stupid is as Stupid Does Smart is as Smart Invests

Now I ain't no financial expert but even I can see that's pretty darn good. Makes me think of Lieutenant Dan always knew how to find the shrimp. Buffett he knows how to find the good stocks. And just in time for his annual meeting in Omaha. I imagine there will be a lot of folks lining up just hoping to shake his hand kind of like when I played ping pong in China.

A New ETF? That's What I Have to Say About That

And get this they got a new thing called the VistaShares Target 15 Berkshire Select Income ETF. It's like someone took all of Buffett's favorite toys like Apple American Express and Coca Cola and put them in one handy bucket. It's got all of Berkshire Hathaway's best bets so you can feel like you're investing like the Oracle of Omaha. That Coca Cola I tell you what I could drink that stuff all day every day. I always have a bottle of it with me.

Run Forrest Run... to the Bank!

Mr. Adam Patti from VistaShares said it's "a really well balanced portfolio chosen by the most successful investor the world has ever seen." Now I don't know about all that fancy talk but it sounds like a good thing. Berkshire's been doing better than the S&P 500 for a while now tripling the market in the past year. It's like when I was running across the country I just kept going and going and going and going. Buffett's been doing the same with his investments.

Cash is King Just Ask Jenny

Folks are talking about how Buffett's got a whole heap of cash more than a shrimp boat could haul in. He sold off some Apple shares which turned out to be a pretty good idea. It's like knowing when to get off a boat before it hits a storm. Speaking of storms the market's been a bit like one since President Trump's been in office.

And That's All I Have to Say About That... and Dividends Too!

Now Berkshire doesn't pay out dividends and some folks want that income. That's where this ETF comes in – it aims to give you 15% income by selling call options. So you get a little bit of Buffett's magic and a little bit of that sweet sweet money. Mama always said "You've got to put the past behind you before you can move on." Well maybe it's time for investors to move on to some good old Buffett style investing with a little extra on the side. And that's all I have to say about that!
