Run Chagee Run! To the Stock Market!

Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates but I think she mighta been talkin' 'bout the stock market too! This here Chagee this tea company from China well it ran and ran and ran right onto the Nasdaq! They said its ticker is 'CHA,' which reminds me of chasin' after Jenny but this is about tea not love... or maybe it's a little of both? They started tradin' at $33.75 a share which is a whole lotta Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. shrimp boats!

More Tea Than You Can Shake a Ping Pong Paddle At

Now I ain't no math whiz like Lieutenant Dan but even I can see that raisin' $411 million is a whole lotta money! They sold somethin' like 14.7 million shares and folks are sayin' the whole company is worth 'bout $5 billion. That's more money than I ever made catchin' shrimp... even with all them hurricanes helpin' out!

From China to... Los Angeles?!

Seems like this Junjie Zhang fella he's the one who started Chagee. Heard he got the idea from them fancy coffee places like Starbucks. China's a big fan of Starbucks but now they're gonna get some good ol' tea! They're plannin' on openin' up a shop in Los Angeles in some fancy place called Westfield Century City. I wonder if they got Forrest Gump shrimp there?

Trade Wars? What Trade Wars?

Now I don't know much 'bout politics but I hear tell there's some kinda fightin' goin' on 'tween America and China 'bout tradin' stuff. Some other companies got scared and didn't wanna put their stocks out there but not Chagee! They just kept on runnin' kinda like me when them bullies were chasin' me back in Greenbow Alabama.

Like Peas and Carrots... Or Tea and America?

I heard tell it ain't so easy for Chinese companies to show up on American stock markets these days. Seems like fewer and fewer are doin' it. But Chagee they're like peas and carrots comin' here anyways. I sure hope they like America 'cause we sure do love a good cup of tea... especially if it's sweet tea!

And That's All I Have to Say About That

So that's the story 'bout Chagee. They ran all the way from China through all the fuss and bother and ended up on the stock market. I guess what Mama always said is true: you gotta put the past behind you before you can move on... and sometimes movin' on means sellin' tea!
