Switzerland? Sounds Neutral Enough...
Alright Earthlings Elon here. Apparently the US and China decided to play nice in Switzerland. Very civilized. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called it "very productive." I'm sure it was probably involved a lot of polite nodding and strategic sipping of overpriced bottled water. They've dialed back the tariff madness for now which is good news for everyone who isn't a masochist with a penchant for economic chaos. I mean who needs more drama right? We've got enough existential dread to go around as it is.
From Trade War to Trade 'Like'
Remember when Trump decided to tariff everything that moved? Good times! Stocks with significant exposure to China took a nosedive faster than a Starship prototype. Then poof! A pause. Now this latest development. Honestly it's like watching a reality TV show written by algorithms. The good news? This truce might just give those China dependent stocks a much needed shot of adrenaline. Maybe they'll even reach orbit… metaphorically speaking of course. Although sending a casino to space does sound like a very 'Elon' thing to do doesn't it?
Goldman Knows… Something
Ah Goldman Sachs the Oracle of Wall Street. They've compiled a list of companies with at least 25% revenue exposure to the Greater China region. Apparently Taiwan counts too. So if you’re looking to bet on this whole detente thing Goldman's list is your starting point. Just remember past performance is not indicative of future results. Or as I like to say 'Sometimes you gotta YOLO it.'
Nvidia: GPU Go BRRR
Nvidia my favorite chipmaker saw its stock price jump almost 5%. Seems like everyone wants their AI powered by China adjacent GPUs. Who knew? With 39% of revenue from the region they're practically printing money. Keep an eye on them they might just be the key to unlocking the Matrix… or at least better graphics in your next video game. Remember the saying 'Reality is often disappointing' well with Nvidia it's only going to get better!
Broadcom & Qualcomm: Bandwagon Buddies
Broadcom and Qualcomm are also riding this wave gaining over 6%. It's a chip party folks! Apparently China needs a lot of chips. Maybe they're building a giant AI to challenge me… or more likely just better toasters. Either way more profit for these companies. I might have to buy some shares myself… or maybe just acquire them. Depends on how bored I am next week. As they say 'When something is important enough you do it even if the odds are not in your favor'.
Viva Las Macao!
Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts the kings of Macao are feeling lucky too. Apparently a trade truce means more high rollers ready to gamble away their fortunes. Who am I to judge? If you've got the money spend it! Just don't blame me when you lose it all. Maybe I'll build a casino on Mars now there is an idea! But remember as I always say 'Take risks now and do something bold. You won't regret it.'
